Just because you have seen 90 before doesn't mean that it's not hard to hit. Thompson is a good pitcher, and even if you've seen someone throw that hard consistently, it doesn't make it an easy task to square it up.

Riddle threw a complete game on Monday.

Yeah Lafayette is young. I think they only typically have two seniors in their lineup and play a couple freshmen as well as some sophomores. You can tell they're talented, but probably don't have enough to get through the tough 11th.

This just happened in an MLB game recently. It's pretty much an across the board rule in baseball - it's a timing play, the run counts.
