I think if there ever was a year for Western Hills to compete in the 11th, this would be it. Not that the 11th is Necessarily weak, but it's not as powerful as it usually is (in my non-expert opinion).

The pitcher was Abe Mitchell. From what I have heard, he's pretty high up on their depth chart.

Regardless of the tests, hundreds of college and professional players use a heavy bat or a bat weight on deck. They seem to be doing just fine. If it slows down bat speed a fraction of a second, ok. But it loosens up the muscles and, as has already been stated, provides a mental edge which many times in baseball, is more key than any tiny physical addition.

It's really disappointing to see all these games getting washed....and it's just not NKY it's really the whole region including all of KY, and much of Ohio and Indiana.

I agree with this pretty much through and through. Ballard, to me, seems pretty much the same as ST X with strong junior and senior position players, just no proven pitching depth besides McCombd. Eastern has a very good overall balance, and I think are the favorite to come out of the 7th cause of the balance and depth of pitching.
