  2. That's fine. I've seen him a number of times and he has not maintained a consistent velocity. He's a good pitcher and a good kid....just needs to gain some strength. It's little wonder that a he can't maintain 88....imagine what he'll be like when he matures and gains some muscle mass!
  3. From what I heard, he had a very bad summer performance wise. There were several schools who had been pursuing him who stopped recruiting him.
  4. He's had exposure to and contact with many of the nation's best college baseball programs. He didn't have a good summer with Midland. There is no way possible for him to have exposure to better schools.
  5. Outfield - Left field in particular.
  6. Smith is a tough Left Handed stick, and his batting avg as a Jr was impressive, but I don't think he was seeing the type of pitching that Riddle (or Jones) saw last season.
  7. Cinnamon is definitely a good pitcher, but is young and tends to tire out. 88 in the first turns into 82 in the 4th. He is still learning command of his offspeed stuff. Thompson at Franklin County is a big bodied guy who throws more than he pitches. He too tends to max out early touching 90 but fading fast. In my opinion, both of these guys will be very good college pitchers and have a chance to play at the level above. When compared to Littrell, however, there is clear separation in their overall makeup and polish as pitchers. Littrell works at 87 consistently and will touch 90, but doesn't make it an effort to throw there. His slider is very good and he mixes it up well with a change. This isn't to say that Cinnamon nor Thompson are good pitchers - or that they don't have second (or third pitches); it's just that Littrell is a good deal better currently than both.
  8. J.T. Riddle at Western Hills
  9. I'd venture to say he's already a stud.
  10. I think he looks a lot less ridiculous than the coaches who are sitting at home right now.
  11. That bat speed is supernatural.
  12. Don't really have many. Catholic scored 4 in the first, 3 on a bases clearing double. Danville didn't hit the ball well, and walked a ton of guys....pitchers were behind in the count the whole game. Martin pitched for Lex Cath....did well. That's about it.
  13. I would guess it will be Alphin vs Riney?
  14. All the teams in Bold have been eliminated 1. Lexington Christian 2. Eastern 3. Apollo 4. Tates Creek 5. Pleasure Ridge Park 6. Covington Catholic 7. Male 8. Trinity 9. Lexington Catholic 10. Bullitt East 11. Franklin County 12. Central Hardin 13. West Jessamine 14. Elizabethtown 15. Western Hills
  15. I can't believe they're playing it this late
  16. Final in the 5th Region tourney.
  17. Yes they are. I have a feeling they may get it done.
  18. Will this game go on? Rain hit that area pretty hard just recently.
  19. I always thought BS would have a chance, but Bollmer having arm trouble really hurt their pitching depth. I think they can pull it off!
  20. Ballard has beat Trinity twice this year.
  21. There are always upsets, but this one I didn't see coming.
