  1. And now the word is that Martin is out and is not the head coach.
  2. This could be the start of some major happenings at the school. I would think that anyone involved with Lexington Catholic would have a problem with the administration's decision, whether or not they knew anything about the baseball program. This is a fundamental violation of the set of values that would seem to me to be *fairly* important on a faith-based Catholic institution. It's a severe condemnation on the administration's core, and transcends the baseball-related aspect entirely.
  3. Clary was becoming the face of Lexington Catholic baseball and it's a shame to see a program which he had helped bring to such prominence turn on him and reject him only to promote someone with such a rocky track record. I hope he catches on somewhere else, though it will be hard for him to see HIS team be coached by someone else.
  4. Wrong. They won under Clary in 2009, his first year as head coach.
  5. No, he wasn't involved in that incident at all....his only involvement was that the young man in question was transferring to his team. The emails and subsequent release of information didn't involve anyone in the Lexington Catholic program.
  6. I don't know the particulars, but it's a real shame to see Clary out of there. He's a great guy who cares about his kids, and just as good of a baseball guy.
  7. What an odd turm of events http://fieldsnotes.bloginky.com/2010/08/04/lexcath-changes-baseball-coaches/
  8. Ronald Cotton in the 45th round to the White Sox
  9. JT Riddle was drafted in the 35th round
  10. Both pitchers went eight innings....Isbell for Male and Fuchs for Trinity. Too bad someone had to lose this one. Male pushed across the go ahead run on a one-out squeeze in the top of the 8th. Bases were loaded for Trinity when the final out was made....a flair into right that looked like it might fall. Superb high school game!
  11. I don't have any idea what this is referring to, so I hardly think that it's offensive or ground for a private message. I think it should be illegal, yes.
  12. Pugh hit a ball that very well may still be traveling.
  13. Not much offense on either side. Isbell started for Male and gave up 4 hits. St X loaded the bases with no outs in the 7th on two HBPs and an error. Isbell got a pop out and two strike outs looking to end it. Tomkins started for St X and went 4 innings. Spalding pitched the last three innings.
  14. For Creek: Donnovan stated, Jackson came in, then Fucci, then Donnovan came in again, then Fucci came in, then Richmond (?) came in to get the last two outs in the 9th. For Lafaytette: Shaftner started, Asay Relieved, Cobb came in in the 8th and Warner got the last outs in the 9th. You may have to check the math in the papers tomorrow. There were a ton of changed for TC.
  15. Tates Creek advances. Exciting game, very well played.
  16. Here is the story from the Lexington paper http://www.kentucky.com/2010/05/25/1278841/gott-gets-it-done-blanks-knights.html
  17. Gott pitched for TC and was dominant after some control issues in the first inning. Pretty one sided game.
  18. I think Liggett was a contender because of his glove, and now with the fact that he hit well over .400 should put him in serious consideration.
  19. They struggled with the little and big things in this game.
