Illegal in KHSAA law, not by state.

Did you answer your own question?

Wow....sounds like you hit a sensitive topic. I'm curious to the answer.

It's not a sensitive spot, but if this is about CovCath I'd love to hear an answer as well...

My thought is who cares? If it's just another parent, not a coach or school official. What is the difference in a friend paying the tuition, or a grandma and grandpa or an aunt and uncle paying? And why would that question inspire someone to think a person is asking the question because of lost playing time. I know some private schools, will let families or students work off part of their tuition if they can't afford to pay. I know a family that has paid for many students to go to a private school over the years. Some of the students played sports and some did not. They just have the means to help and are willing to do so without wanting any glory. They just believe in supporting their school and church and giving back to some that may not be as fortunate as them.

KHSAA rules forbid any person outside of a student's immediate family from paying tuition for a student athlete.

Lexington Christian got into trouble a few years back when a local church provided scholarships to some inner city youth to attend Lex Christian.

To me, they should have kept on doing it as that is a great work of what Jesus' church should be doing.

Well we sure wouldn't want... let's say "Joe The Billionaire" who has ties to a particular high school, offering to pay for all the top athletes in NKY to attend and play baseball there.

Don't we have a forum to discuss these subjects other than in the Baseball forum!

Oh but we do and it's called:Public/Private Debate

Take the thread to the correct place!

The thread does involve high school baseball. This is a high school baseball thread correct? I think people are free to post whatever they want about high school baseball.....maybe not what certain schools want posted, but certainly not off topic.

I don't have any idea what this is referring to, so I hardly think that it's offensive or ground for a private message. I think it should be illegal, yes.

Well CCH tried it with the class of '09 and it didn't work for them.

I was wrong. I thought this reference would be made in the first 10 posts. Close though.
