That's a good question! If I was in the kid's heads I could tell you but I am not so I cannot answer that question. I know this, Prestonsburg is not as good of a team as they were last year in my book and they did come to our field and beat us hands down. Maybe you can answer this question, why did Prestonsburg go to Beechwood and get stomped againt a very good 1A school? Prestonsburg was the 3rd rated team in 2A at that time, should have been a good game but it was not.

What do you mean almost beat Bath Co? The final score is all that counts my friend! The score was 30-14, did you not see that or was you not looking! Once they got over the week off hangover it was game on!

Leslie Co., Long trip from Hyden to Owingsville! We almost had a 3 way tie in the district if Shleby Valley would not have let Prestonsburg score late in the 4th qtr. I think this game is a no brainer but if Leslie Co comes ready to play and Bath Co does not, who knows. I think the match up for Bath Co will be in the next game when they would have to travel to Corbin and play the Redhounds and that is a great 2A team. Bath will be ready for the playoffs.

Final Nicholas lead until the 4th qtr. That is when the Wildcats offense and defense exploded! If the Cats had played with that much fire and intensity the ENTIRE game, I think they could have beat any team in 2A. Congrats Wildcats! Its playoff time!:dancingpa

I agree they are much better than P-Burg or Shelby Valley, that was not the point, NO TEAM (except maybe Highlands) is unbeatable. If both teams come out ready to play, I think Bath Co. will have their hands full, but if Corbin comes out flat or over confident then who knows. Bath Co. is loaded with talent and speed the same as Corbin, both teams are rushing teams and good ones at that, so what I think it will come down to is conditioning and the health of all the players. Lets get past Nicholas and Leslie and we will see.

Bath Co. will come out as a different team in the playoffs. I think that Shelby Valley proved this week that anyone can be beat on any given week. They were very close to pulling a huge upset on P-Burg. Bath Co. is healthy now and I think this will make a huge difference in the playoffs. Strength of schedule I think will be improved next year.

Reed Fields from Bath Co. He has taken the program from 0 wins 4 years ago, to a regular season 7 wins last season and hopefully another 7 wins this season and looks like Bath Co. will go deeper into the playoffs than we have in quite some time. My vote is for Reed!

IMO it would be based on what the record at the school is and what you have done for the program and the kids. There is no way you can please everyone and you are the coach for a reason. All parents and fans get upset occasionally, this is understandable but to constantly belittle and bash the coach is hurting the players and the team probably more than the coach. I am a coach in the flag league and I have VERY selective hearing. Parents always seem to think they can do a better job than the coach. I am as guilty as anyone at Monday morning quarterbacking, I think everyone has some of that in them, but I do not try to hurt the program or the players. Sit back and look at what you have done and see if the complaining is legit, if not then talk to your players and turn on your selective hearing.

I remember when Bath Co. played Berea, this is the only time I ever felt sorry for another team. Sounds like they have really turned it around! Congrats Berea, I have always wanted to see you guys do well, because you guys played with a lot of heart!

The problem with playing teams like this is when you play teams like Fairview, the reality of a GOOD football team sets in. I am not dogging Clinton Co., because their football program is very young and I think it is great that they are challenging themselves to a difficult schedule. If Bath Co. would play a more difficult schedule, when we would play teams like P-Burg, Williamsburg and Fairview there would not be blowouts.

Congrats to a good Fairview team! Bath Co. looked good coming out of the locker room in the 2nd half but could not stop #11 from Fairview.

I feel the same way about Bath Co. It must be the district that gets no respect. Prestonsburg was ranked 3rd till Beechwood put that huge loss on them and now they are 7th. Bath is 5-2, maybe with a Fairview win this will put them in the top 10.

They also have not been hit on defense by running back like Zach Metz. He is a very hard nosed, hard hitting running back that should make this game interesting. This is always a good game every year and I do not expect anything less this year.

I would love to see the 1A knock off the 5A but I dont think it will happen. JC by 21. You gotta give credit to Hazard for playing this tough of a schedule.
