I just saw in the paper, that Berea won again. I know they will not be entering district play again until next year, but kudos to the Berea players and coaching staff. Great turnaround from 2 years ago!!!:ylsuper::dancingpa

Congrats to Berea. It is good to see them get things moving in a positive direction.

Wow! Way to go, Pirates.

Arrrgh! :thumb:

Berea moves into district play again next year, joining Campbellsville, Clinton County, Lynn Camp and Williamsburg. They should be able to be competitive.

I remember when Bath Co. played Berea, this is the only time I ever felt sorry for another team. Sounds like they have really turned it around! Congrats Berea, I have always wanted to see you guys do well, because you guys played with a lot of heart!

This is great for Berea. I'm not sure who they've played, but that record is very impressing. Their district should set them up to be very competitive.

No offense but there is not a winning team on their schedule that they have beaten. I think it's great that Berea is having a good year but next years District play will be much tougher. However with that being said, congrats on getting the program headed in the right direction.

I'm going to have to agree with SB on this.

Congrats on winning.

BUT don't compare the success of this schedule to what is in store in the district in '09.

I should have clarified, yes their schedule is weak. But, you guys know we are talking about teenage boys here, and their egos needed these wins to keep this program afloat. I'm all for that schedule for those boys to get a little confidence rolling. I knew a lot of you would probably jump on lack of schedule. They are not in district play this year anyway. Put me in the same situation as a coach or AD, and I'm trying to line up as many cupcakes as I can get!!! Haha

Sounds like they are developing a solid program.

The whole purpose of dropping out of district is to have freedom to schedule "beatable" opponents. A few wins builds excitement, attacts young players, and instills confidence. The next step is to return to district play.

Berea seems to have done it right. Congratulations.

I think their program is moving in the right direction, and I am glad they are joining the district next year.

There seems to always be someone around who wants to rain on the parade. You know, Berea could be a lot better than the teams they've beaten, no matter the other team's won/loss records.

Congratulations to Berea! Thanks for having the heart to play while you were down and giving it your all! Enjoy this season.
