Not surprised about this outcome. I actually thought Newport was going to win this game. Great game by the Wildcats and congrats to the Breds

If this is true that Shawn is not on the mound, it is a tough blow for Newport, but Pat is a good pitcher as well.

Highlands beat them earlier in the year with a walk-off home run by Highlands, when Bellevue had a 2 or 3 run lead in the 6th. I believe Bellevue's "#3" pitcher pitched that game as well. Then Bellevue beat them later in the season with a score of 10-8 I believe. Not saying Bellevue is the clear-cut #2, just stating why some people would believe that they are :thumb:

Not sure if I'm reading this right, but the winner of the Bellevue/Ludlow game is alreday in the semis?

As said, NCC is the big favorite in this one, but Newport is a solid team. Is Klass is on the mound, which I assume he will be, then Newport could absolutely surprise the region and win this one. Remember, they did it a couple years ago by winning the District when they "didn't have a chance".

Your right, they are not the "clear" #2, but most people would say they are the #2 IMO

Right, Highlands and NCC vote to seed. Dayton and Bellevue vote to draw. Newport is usually the "swing" vote, and they always vote to draw.

Should be one great game to start off the 36th District. I think Bellevue will come out swinging, and Scott is able to slow down the NCC bats. Bellevue 6 NCC 2

Although it's early, what a great matchup this one could be. Smith (I'd assume) vs Roenker (sp?), and if that's the case, I'll take the upset and Holy Cross

Absolutely correct. I saw their JV team play, and wow they have some great talent coming up as well. Should be a force to be reckon'd with in the near future

Here goes the age-old debate...

Great game all around, like most figured it would be. Back and forth all night, and the Tigers bats woke up and put up 10 runs on the Birds for the win. Can't wait to see if these two can play in the District Finals
