BB#21 Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Bellevue won in 5... Hunter Jones hit a 2 run homer in the 1st inning... Mike Young lead Bellevue with 8 RBIs and 2 doubles...
BB#21 Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 Piper pitched for Bellevue for the first 2 innings and gave up 6 runs I believe. Then Chad Thompson came in and finished the game giving up no runs.

That's awesome for Thompson! He's pitched very well as have most of the staff this season. Can be tough to come in though and be composed when a game isn't going well, so good for him!

papa22320 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Thought Cooper had a nice team. They never quit and had great spirit. I liked the way they played as a team and kept trying to pick each other up. Coach Bienger (?) is doing a great job with a new young program. Watch out in years to come they will be a program to contend with.

I saw their JV team play, and wow they have some great talent coming up as well. Should be a force to be reckon'd with in the near future
BB#21 Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 Mike Young is 6th all time in the state for the most RBIs in a single game.
