Beechwood/Bellevue Updates
Did Beechwood pull their starters? Bellevue hasn't scored in 3 straight now 4 games.

Bellevue 42 Dayton 0
Looks like Bellevue may have found a kicker for the next few years. Miguel Garcia who made all 6 of his pat's including a kick off out of the end zone. He's got a leg on him!

Bellevue 42 Dayton 0
No, just the old tradition of playing each other twice in the season. This first game only counts in the win/loss column. The last game of the year (at Dayton) will be the battle and a district game.

Boone County 11 Bellevue 3
and I believe that the player cannot play in the next game either. Does this affect the Coach when a player gets ejected?

Anyone know who is throwing for the Tigers?

Bellevue 4 Newport Central Catholic 1
2001-2002 season, but never twice in the same season! Great job, Coach Sanders!

How good is Holmes?
Courtney is now catching when not pitching. I just hope that his arm holds out through the season. Against Whitesville, he look tired and the velocity was not there. Whitesville hit him pretty good.

Somebody PLEASE take care of Meinken Field
I've found myself apologizing to the Ohio Teams that are currently participating in the City Tournament, for the "choice" of fields being used for this tournament. The question comes back to District 28, as to why they would choose to host games on this field knowing the shape and condition of the field, it's down right embarrassing! I would think just a simple phone call the Recreation Dept. would/could take care of the situation or at least have access to rakes to at fill the holes in. Your right, one injury is too many and I'm thinking a broken ankle is just a play away from running over the "raised" bases. The FOPA field is equally bad on the pitching mound and batters box and the grass infield is in need of water. I would think that there are High School fields available for 1 week that could host this tournament or the District will giving the tournament back to Ohio for good.

Bellevue 6 Highlands 5
It was 1983, Bellevue's Steve Hatch hit a 2 run home run in the bottom of the 7th inning to beat then #2 New Cath 3-2. Bellevue then played Newport in the Championship (Tarvin vs. Stamm). Tarvin was either a Frosh or Soph that year, but had a very productive next 2 years at Bellevue who I think was back in the Regions those years.

Is there or where can I find the link to all past District/Regional scores from NKY in the last 10-15 years?

Bellevue 6 Highlands 5
Liggett came in with men on 1st and 2nd and issued an intentional walk to Hegge to load the bases with 2 outs. His 1st pitch was a ball, then came a swing and miss on Piper's 2nd pitch. He then fouled one down the right field line that the right fielder got a glove on but couldn't hang on (a long run for him that dropped against the fence) then came the hit up the middle past the 2nd baseman to score Buckler and Huff.

Cain for NCC and Rizzo for Highlands, Murray came in relief for Highlands for 2 innings. NCC stranded men on 2nd and 3rd in the 7th with none or 1 out. NCC did hit 3 home runs to account for 4 of the 5 runs that they scored.
