Way to go Birds!!!! :ylsuper:

Congrats to HHS.

Wow. Good job Highlands with the upset.

Who pitched for each team?

Great job Birds. They are on a bit of a roll. 4-14 to start the year and 9-9 to finish. Highlands has been in the District Championship game 8 of the last 9 years. Keep it going JB and the Birds!!!

Surprises me a little bit. Congrats to Coach Baoni and the Bluebirds. Program is definitely headed in the right direction and poised to take off.

Congrats Coach Baioni and the Bluebirds! Nice to see the former Beechwood Tiger coach pull out the upset victory.

Great program win for JB and the Boys. As tdyballgame noted before Birds have turned the corner during second half of season. Could this be because of the Coaching change at 1st base. Coach Reynolds to the bench and Coach Racker (sp) to 1st base. Is this the same Coach Racker that was a bench coach for Coach Gary Schrader back in the mid 90's when the Birds won back to back 9th Region championships? Anyone?

I didnt know that JB coached at BW. I guess that would explain why he thinks he knows it all when it comes to baseball. LOL

I did not attend this game as I was at the Holy Cross vs. Beechwood game but I would assume that Jake Cain pitched for the Breds and Murray or Rizzo pitched for the Bluebirds.

Cain for NCC and Rizzo for Highlands, Murray came in relief for Highlands for 2 innings. NCC stranded men on 2nd and 3rd in the 7th with none or 1 out. NCC did hit 3 home runs to account for 4 of the 5 runs that they scored.

I'm surprised HHS could score 6 off Cain. He is very good.

Congrats to the Birds!:dancingpa

This is a diffeerent Coach Baioni The Beechwood coach is his dad and he still coaches at Beechwood...........

5 Run 4th inning with the score 2-1 NCC at the time.
