Seneca's rushing stats on the season are 5 carries for 235 yards and 4 TD's. All from direct snap wildcat formation. Incredible.

I think it's a 4 horse race with these top 4 teams. Though I believe Boyle and Corbin to be slightly above the northern powers.

Bullitt East hosts North Bullitt this Friday in the first game to determine the winner of the coveted "Bullitt Cup". The Bullitt Cup is awarded to the best team in Bullitt County each year decided by head to head games between the three high schools. Forgive me for not knowing the specific tie breakers in effect if all three teams go 1-1 in head to head competition. Bullitt East - The Chargers come into the contest with a record of 1-1 having lost to Bowling Green in the Rafferty's Bowl last week and then beating Franklin County in Frankfort this past Friday night. The Chargers have a lot of new starters on both sides of the ball this season and that showed against BG. BG deserves the credit for the win and they were the better team but a couple of miscues I think caused the score to look a little worse than it should have been. Just my opinion of course and others may disagree. The win against Franklin County had fewer of those mistakes but the Chargers still need to clean up their execution. I don't have stats for the game but Will Egan played well and the Chargers again stopped themselves more than the Flyers did. Franklin is well coached but they seem to be in a rebuild year with a lot of youth. They always have weapons and can score at any time. QB went out late in the game and that proved to be the nail in the coffin. North Bullitt - The Eagles come into the contest at 0-2 having dropped a close one to Lincoln in the opening game for each and then getting blanked by North Oldham this past Friday night. The Eagles entered this season with the same head coach as the previous season for the first time in maybe 5 or 6 years. That is tough on a football program. They brought a lot of energy to the Lincoln County game and it took the Patriots scoring with less than a minute left in the game to finally put the Eagles away. That effort did not carry over to Goshen this past Friday however as North Oldham is quite a bit better than Lincoln was. The Eagles have some weapons in their wing t attack but probably not enough to slow down the Chargers this coming Friday. The Chargers need to tackle better and eliminate some of their mistakes. They are committing fewer penalties than last year and that's a good start but they must improve each week. The run game has been decent but needs to get better. I don't think BE will have a tough time with NB this week but you never know with cross county rivalry games. That's why you play them. Good luck to both teams and hope everyone ends the night injury free.

I know many might not agree, but as an old school purist, I really like these defensive, field position, time management low scoring battles.

Thanks for updating @Flyer_Fan87 . Was on radio broadcast duties for this game. (Bottom of the barrel). Both teams seem young and prone to too many self inflicted mistakes. But also saw nice play by several players. Just need consistency. Thought Bullitt East was a little better at the line of scrimmage and Will Egan played a nice game.

I like Madison Central in this game of run heavy offenses. The game will probably be played faster than any other game this week.

The game for the Chargers was not all bad on Sat. Actually they did a lot of things well but not consistently. Bowling Green has enough good players to make you pay for your mistakes, which they did. Something I was worried about was if the Chargers would answer BG's physicality and I feel like for the most part they did. Frankfort is always well coached and physical so they will need to do that again to win this week. We shall see, but I like the Chargers chances.

Well, it’s been exciting so far.

8th graders can't play high school football.

This game means literally nothing other than a number added to the loss column. Armstrong is going to be fun to watch throughout the year and as long as HHS is playing in the 4th round against Boyle or Corbin with a chance to get back to Kroger, nobody else will care either. It's a long season. As a Boyle fan, there is one thing I'm very glad about. That Coach Haddix is not the play caller for HHS. With Armstrong, Lorenzen and a couple of other weapons the Bluebirds have, I cannot imagine some of the stuff he would be drawing up.

Garrard defense did not play bad actually. But to say the O struggled would be a huge understatement. Will have to improve passing game to give the running game much of a chance.

I heard Coach Smith pick Boyle and Bowling Green. Then I heard @ChiefSmoke pick Boyle. Didn’t hear him pick a winner for BG/BE.

Carrico is 6’8” 295 and has many high level D1 offers. I love Seneca, but this kid deserves some respect also. The game is at WKU for the final time. Announced a few weeks ago that it will be at BG High from here on out.

Ballard really struggled against Bullitt East in their last scrimmage. I like LexCath in a close one.

East 24 Ballard 0 Ballard only had about 5 or 6 first downs and best I remember only took the ball to the 30 or so of the Chargers maybe twice.
