  1. This makes to much sense which is exactly why it won't happen in Cincinnati/Hamilton Cty.
  2. He may need a David Blaine type effort this year.
  3. I understand the band playing but I really don't get piping music through the PA system in between plays. Are we really that much of an A.D.D. society that we need to be entertained for approx. 30 seconds in between plays?
  4. This seems to be a common comment on here when an undefeated team gets beat. Am I the only one who thinks this is getting old? I also think it discredits (CovCath in this case) the team who knocks off the team who supposedly played the weak schedule. Maybe I am wrong but I thought leading up to this game I read that JC's top 2 wins were rated higher than CovCath's top 2 wins in one of the polls that rates these kind of things. There may be many reasons JC lost this game but I think the biggest reason is because CovCath is a doggone pretty good football team when healthy?
  5. Haven't fallen for any trick old or new. Highlands has had some close calls this year included the 2pt win this past Friday in which they gave up over 900 yards. These are things that we haven't seen from Highlands in recent memory which leads me to believe this may be the most vulnerable Bluebird team during their current run. Does it mean I think they will lose? No! I do think they will win but I wouldn't be shocked if they didn't. Complacency has seem to set in with some of the Bluebird faithful. Hope it hasn't set in with the team. I will say this is one year that its good that Highlands is playing in 4A. Don't give me the "method to Dale's madness" line. You would have to be delusional if you think he purposely gave up 69 pts and over 900 yards on his team. UK#1fan doesn't have anything on some of you Highlands fans.
  6. First - I also started the first sentenced with the word "I" but this thread isn't about me either. Second - I agree.
  7. Me too! Pulling for Beechwood as well as all the NKY teams as well as a few around the NKY area.
  8. No but the ones I responded to are. And for the record, this isn't a Highlands thread. What about the other classifications. Will any other NKY team win a State Championship?
  9. You Highlands fans are so sensitive. Can any of you read? I said I think they win State! I also said I think this is probably the most vulnerable Bluebird team they have had during this current run. Am I really that far off base?
  10. I believe as most do Highlands is NKY's best chance but this is probably the most vulnerable Bluebird team they have had during their current championship run. Highlands is the 4A favorite but I don't think its a slam dunk by any means as it has been in previous years. Simon Kenton has a shot at getting to the big game but I am not sure they can beat whichever Louisville area school they may face. I really don't think any of the other usual suspects (NCC & Beechwood) are real threats this year. Top to bottom this has been a down year in NKY. I think Highlands will win State but I wouldn't be shocked if they don't. I think NKY is closer to getting 0 championship than they are of getting 2. What do you think?
  11. Mason County out played and out coached Scott. Scott got whipped tonight plain and simple. One team looked liked they cared and the other didn't. The score was closer than the game really was. Congrats to the Royal players and coaching staff. MC coach did a great job at having his team ready to play tonight and the other sidelined looked like they were just going through the motions. Very impressed with the Mason QB. The kid throws a really nice ball. Congratulations to Mason County on a perfect regular season and best of luck in the playoffs!
  12. Heard him interviewed on the radio while I was in Lexington the other day. Seems like a great guy and very humble. One heck of a football coach! Congratulations to him and all his assistants over the years.
  13. Who initiated the shouting match after the game? Did the ref go over to the coach once the game was over or did the coach say something to the ref?
  14. Then tell me why she isn't the top candidate for Mr. Football in Kentucky.
  15. Why didn't you have one of these threads when Scott played Aiken?
  16. Scott beat Newport by 50. I'll be surprised if Scott doesn't win by 3+ TD's.
  17. I thought Scott looked a little rusty tonight. Just not as sharp as I've seen this year. Just went through the motions in the 2nd half. Scott really needs to work on their kick-off team. Hasn't been very good all year and almost caught up with them in the Cooper game. Castleman was injured in the 1st qtr with a knee. Looked bad, hope he is ok. Tough game next week against South Oldham will be even tougher without him.
