Congratulations to Coach Haywood and all the supporters that he had in that contest.

Coach Haywood is a class act and a very good Christian man and he is very dedicated

to the Belfry football team and a great asset to the whole Belfry community.

Congrats Coach Haywood. :dancingpa

Long Time Assistant Coach and Long Time Friend of Haywood Steve Mickey said it perfectly on the radio the other night.

He said that Haywood will take no credit for this award and put it all back on the Community and the players. Then once Haywood finally retires he will open up a Diet Coke randomly one day in his living room and tell his wife as he looks at the award, "You know that's pretty cool right there" and that will be the extent of his celebration HAHA

Huge testament to the man... huge testament to the Belfry fanbase who had the largest vote total each round (and aside from the main team they were competing with noone else ever came close).. and a huge testament to all the voters from other schools who jumped in to cast their lot of support to bring the award to the Commonwealth.

You would not believe the organization that some of the Belfry women put into this thing. They basically had a war room set up and covered everything from marketing, to real time voting statistical analysis, to managing shift strategy. I am fairly sure some of them didn't sleep for 72 hour increments at a time HAHA

CONGRATS to Coach Haywood and the Belfry football family.

I'll second that!

Heard him interviewed on the radio while I was in Lexington the other day. Seems like a great guy and very humble. One heck of a football coach! Congratulations to him and all his assistants over the years.

Class = Coach Haywood = Class

Congratulations to Coach and to all the people who got behind this to make it happen.
