So, the case is closed because you pointed out that if they were on the same team you'd play Faulkner at the point, not Jackson? Any coach with a brain would do the same. Chad can play the 1/2/3/4 and is 4 or 5 inches taller than Ethan. Ethan can play the 1/2. Even someone as stupid as me can figure out that you'd play Chad somewhere else. Poor argument to "close the case" IMO. My reasons for choosing Jackson have already been outlined above and I agree with LogMountainBoy. In a head to head selection, not what they've done in the past, just straight up, tit for tat, I'd go with Jackson.

Wow, you used "good program" and Greenup in the same post. When has that ever happened here? I wouldn't refer to them as that. As a matter of fact, the revolving door of coaches, not to mention the current Bath Co. coach and his lawsuit, the South Shore vs rest of the county issues. I'm sure that we could continue to add to this list. It will be a very tall order for any coach to restore Greenup to a "good program". I wish the new one luck overcoming the periferal obstacles.

I wonder if he'd be happy with playing JV? Considering the fact that they are loaded, I'll be curious to see how being a starter somewhere else the season before and perhaps on the JV the next season plays out. Not necessarily for the player, who by all accounts is a quality kid. Sometimes parents aren't too understanding. I wish him the best. Perhaps laying down the orange ball to chase the small white one is the best route.

I sort of expected to see something of this nature come out of the Rose Hill camp. As for the "handed a winner" comment, I know that several kids left well before Coach Ross was even named. So to say that he was handed much is nothing but a half truth. Linemen and skill players alike were gone. I wish that they had made it work, however, to smear someone like Bill Tom is ridiculous. My guess is that the folks who truly knew the situation and the particulars will remain silent on this one. I for one with Coach Ross good health and enjoyment in his retirement and after this circus, wish he'd have remained retired for his sake.

11? 12? What? I thought that according to the thread this spring and summer that Rose Hill was going to play a freshman and junior varsity schedule this season and then move to varsity next year. So, if no jv schedule this year, are they planning on jumping in with all sophomores into the same district with LCA and Raceland to get their feet wet? That deserves a big, old, WOW! I hope for the kids sake there that they manage to play some sort of schedule and upgrade the situation there for the season or seasons ahead. But I'll guess that the fact that the new coach jumped ship, especially if it's due to lack of players, that this is the death of the fledgling football program.

It is my belief that Duck has a vendetta against Fairview and picks them to inevitably jinx them. Because knowing that district and the players there, I can't see anyone annointing Fairview (-Hall) as the faves in that district. But, that's why they play the games.

All I can say is wow! I think that the Faulkner kid might have something to say about that. As far as Terry goes, he's a solid player. But I wouldn't count on making it out of the district quite yet.
