Will games be sloppier this year in Weeks 1 and 2?
Also, what happens when a 1A or 2A team simply doesn't have enough practice dummies? When you sign up for football their isn't a line that says" your son (or daughter) will not be hit hard, because he is only a freshman and needs to be taken care of".If anything freshman become better playing with upperclassman.

Ok I guess I'm young lad now ha. All I'm saying is he has told me this within the past oh let's say.....hour. I have no other way of telling you. I am not trying to talk him up or anything or have anyone one think now that he is boastful, because he isn't. Just laying out what I have been told....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................by him.:ylsuper:

The Offense Of The Future?
Very cool, should be interesting.

Coaches leaving after their kids graduate
Yep. Although it is disappointing to see coaches leave due to this.

You clearly haven't read my posts that said I am going off what I have been told. So good try with that. To everyone else, all I said was he has done it, not that that completes him as a great pitcher, I am not so unknowing to think throwing hard makes you great. READ everythiing I write, process, then come on back with a response. No ill feelings just trying to get a point acrossed guys.:thumb:

Although it really doesn't matter, the fact is, he either has hit 90 or he has been told wrong info. B/c as everyone who knows Andy will tell you he isn't the kind of kid to boost or lie, and he told me. So unless you are telling me Andy is lying, although your posts have added insight into why he wouldn't have thrown 90 and I thank you for that, I have no reason to believe he hasn't thrown that fast.

Couldn't be more right, no disputing they are over using him.

First referring to the Roenker thing, if you know him as well as you say you do you would know the only time he lies is when he says he isn't hurt to not come out of a game and I have been told by sources very close, like him, that he has been clocked at 90, also my arguement wasn't that he was 90 mph pitcher all day, just that he could hit it, I mean he has been at 80 since late 8th grade. Also, having been at a few Ryle JV games I just at times saw a team that looked lost and a few instances where they would show up a teammate.

I don't know of many pitchers in state that have had a sub 2.5 era from Freshman and sophmore year for strictly Varsity over 90 innings. He was the Divsion 2 pitcher of the year. He has been clocked at 90 with his fastball and from anyone who watched his breaking ball it was nasty.

Ryle definatly can be the #1 but just like someone said earlier can they play like a team. Cov Cath is my #1 though, they return to much to not be very solid. But watch out for Hc. Roenker is one of the best pitchers in the STATE and Stewart is having a good season with his summer ball team. When you start adding players like Ritter and Egan(both will log some varsity innings also) from the JV team along with big time varsity contributiors from last year inStewart, Roenker, Sullivan, Barker, Cooper, Parrot and Rickels you could see some real good play out of Hc this season.:thumb:

The Cats' Pause high school football preview
All I know is the two apparent Holy Cross QB's were Paul Ritter and Pat Bernard, niether of whom will be playing football let alone QB for us. I got a kick out of it.

What's the one thing you want to see from the 2008 season?
I have first hand experience, it would. It's amazing what 10 practices can teach a kid if they are willing to participate and buy in.

Ryan Ernst: Top Players in NKY
Andy Roenker for HC. 7 int's tied for the state lead I think, 80 tackles or so as a sophmore, going to play RB this year also.
-
Best Defensive Lineman in NKY
Mike Sullivan out of HC should get a look. About 6'2 or '3 and 225 lbs. Strong kid and a returning starter. Also has a big motor, makes a lot of plays 10 yards down the field.

CovCath end of year awards
Cov Cath bullying ha ha. I certianly don't care about it but there are a good amount of Cov Cath supporters who do. I don't really see a problem with the thread.

Simon Kenton 2008/2009
I saw him about two months ago and I would say he is no bigger than 5'10 140.

Simon Kenton 2008/2009
Sorrell could be a decent player if he stays down here on earth. He has a nice jumper but not the size to get it off one on one with a bigger player.

Walton-Verona 2008-09
If there is any talent there Coach Miller and Trame will turn it around. They are not only GREAT coaches, but some of the best people you will ever meet. Just good people to have with you. WV is very lucky, HC is going to sorely miss both men as coaches and people.
-
Who will be the 2A teams to watch this year?
HC is going to be tough. They have a much improvedand enlarged O-line. Along with revamped skill positions on O and the return of Roenker, Walker, and Brad Herald. The Indians are not just looking to just beat NCC or Beechwood in the regular season, but the atmoshere is a winning one and the concensus is that a STATE title is in the furture. The Class of 2010 is loaded with talent and their 10-0 run as freshman is starting to come through. This is supposed to be the year there offense steps up and put points on the board, watch out for them.

Improved teams in 2008
Simon Kenton returns a good core of players. Watch out for them if they get Simpson rolling and that offense b/c their is a pretty good amount of talent there.
