Practicing without pads allows the coaches to stress fundamentals. Often when teams go directly into drills the players have bad form. The smaller things are stressed in just helmets that arent in full gear. Helmets only also allows the underclassmen to get aquainted with the high school level of play. Freshmen hitting Seniors the first day could have bad outcomes.

Mercer will have a strong defense. However, they will have to find someway to score. For example when Mercer and Boyle meet, eventually Boyle will put the ball in the endzone. Who will be the go to guy when a touchdown is needed?

Bell county's first game I think will be a shocker. Garrard is a experienced team, and if Bell isn't prepared or over looks Garrard the game may turn out differently then expected.

Garrard returns all but one starter on defense. This is a advantage because they have seen everything that every team has. With a new system on offense that no one has seen in our district it should have other defenses on the fritz. The distrcit will be tough but I belive it will be Garrard, then Taylor with running back Chris Thomas should pose problems for defense. Third is Somerset and then Wayne.

I was at a camp with the new QB for Boyle. He was very impressive and already was looking for Aumiller. This means Ron Crutchfield will handle the running back and allow Aumiller to get open and more importantly get the ball.

Tyler Woods from Garrard will have a break out year. He is one of the purest shooters in the region. With the graduation of the starting point guard Woods will handle the ball more, which means more shots.

Garrard county is a team that will shock the state. They return all starters on defense and loose only 3 on offense. With a new system and drive to win I think district is in reach for the young Golden Lions

Garrard county is now the Region 12 champs. They will play Ryle in the first round of state

Garrard in my opinion is to much for PC. The pitching for Garrard is almost unstoppable and with a solid defense it will be hard for PC to put runs on the board.

Garrard was supposed to play Monday night but, due to rain they will play on Wednesday. Garrard had a very impressive year sweaping every team in districts to again be 45th disctrict champs. With 4 super seniors region should just be prep games for state.

Spurlin will only go as far as the players around him. Someone will have to be able to handle the ball and take control of the team. Spurlin is only effective with the ball in his hands. Alot of teams will double and make some one else take the big shots. Who other than Spurlin can Lincoln look to?

Thanks alot guys. I wasnt for sure about the terms of transfering. Well I doubt that Coach Harp is the easiest person to tell that your leaving. Yes Leonard is a great athlete I just dont know if Taylor will be able to adjust and get him the ball. They have a good running back in Thomas and I'm sure he will want most of the touches. I am anxious to see how things go.

How many pitchers in the middle or high school level have the accuracy to hit a batter? Im not saying that pitchers dont throw at batters but how many times does that batter actually get hit.. Most of the time batters are hit its by accident

I dont think there is a need for a shot clock. The longest I may have ever seen a team hold the ball for possesion is maybe a minute, and thats either before half time or to get the last shot in the quarter. Most teams are run and gun now a days so until holding the ball becomes a state wide problem I dont see a call for a shot clock.

I personally dont care wheather you cross district or not. Its just time to set something in stone, you cant keep changing year after year.

Garrard county will turn some heads, and gain some respect within the region.
