Suprised that Henry Co got rid of the scoreboard that was suspended above center court. Eminence's gym has personality but the last time I was there I never could find a seat that did not have an obstructed view.

They did have a 6th man but Owen was able to overcome him. I agree that they have a good home court advantage. Why do you guys think that is the case?

I don't know for sure, but not good. I guess Rude Santa was effective. I can understand a student section cheering in the bleachers but he was on the floor, too close to the court imo. I even heard a bell ringing in the student section a couple of times. I feel sure this would not have been tolerated in the 8th region by the refs or host school.

There are bleachers on one end and that is the student section. St Nick was standing on the floor in front of the bleachers a couple of feet off the end line directly by the basket. Once in the second half he ran to the other end where there are no bleachers and did the same thing. I wondered what would have happened if an OC fan had tried the same tactic.

Congrats to MC. I was suprised/disappointed that the administration allowed the "Santa" from MC to stand under the goal and carry on while Owen County was shooting foul shots. Didn't seem very hospitable and I have never seen this at any of the zillion other high school games I have attended.

I figured the mods were busy with Christmas celebrations and just hadn't noticed it yet.

I have no idea what is going on in Bourbon Co but I would rather have a cow pasture for a field than have donors calling the shots.

Did Kinmon play? Could so many new/returning players be a contributor to the chemistry problems?

The 6th graders on the middle school team have another league they will play in thru February and all of the 8th graders and a few 7th graders usually move up to the freshman team. This year the middle school team played about 20 games so there is plenty of ball for everyone. Some kids will also play AAU. This is common practice at the smaller schools.

Does seem a little odd but Owen's middle school season wraps up tomorrow night and then it won't be an issue.

I believe that Grant's theory is that they foul so much that the refs can't possibly call them all and this will some how work to their advantage. Not the kind of ball I enjoy watching.

I heard that OC won. Can anyone confirm?
