If it is taking you a tank of gas to get to Owenton from "NKY" you need a new vehicle. Lots of Owen Countians make the drive daily for work and believe it or not some residents of what you call NKY drive to Owen County for employment.

Really didn't mean to start a geographical debate but for the record Owen County is served by the NORTHERN Ky Area Development District along with Grant, Pendleton, Carroll, Gallatin and the big 3 previously mentioned so I will continue to consider them NKY counties. (and imo Gayheart is the best point guard in those 8 counties and Moss is the best over all player of the teams I have seen play.)

Owen's defense held the Mustangs to their lowest point total of the season.

Why did they play 2 games in 1 day?

They may have trouble topping last season but I think they can have a successful year. Owen County loses about 14 seniors including District POY Sawyer Williams and lots of size and strength however they return QB Adam Hazlett, WR Chris Day, and the speedy duo of Collin Trammel and Paul Banks. I believe that the kicker returns also. A talented group of 8th graders will be joining the team as freshman also, most of them will be a year or two away from contributing to the varsity team but I expect to see a couple of them get some time on the field including Williams younger brother Carson and Mason Borchers.

All things considered I am not suprised that NCC won this game but I am suprised at the margin of victory. I was suprised this game wasn't cancelled due to both teams' game counts. Didn't NCC have to cancel a game too?

Looks like she broke the record and then some. I imagine she will be holding on to it for some time.

I in no way think that the girls were out of line by putting on the shirts. Of course they would put them on and apprectiate them. My feelings are for the adults in charge of distributing them. In my opinion it may have been more appropriate to distribute them at the post game celebration. That is all I have to say about that. I am officially over it.

The shirts were not given by the tourney directors. It just comes across as a little disrespectful to your opponent and a little over-confident to have the shirts made up ahead of time. Congrats to the WV for the win they played a very good game.

From what I have seen their best overall player is a senior-Hargett.

Walton-Verona has 3 seniors. Hargett, Cotrell, and Daughtery. Had 4 until Kinmon quit.

On that note, I would be curious to know how many private schools participate in the All A Regional Tournaments. The 8th region has none.

Why didn't Taylor Barnette play?

Where did she play before she came to WV? Is she a junior or senior?

Do you know how many foul shots McNeil attempted/made? I never saw a player draw so many fouls. Not sure I agreed with all of them. It seemed like he got by with lowering his shoulder into the defense which is something a big can't get by with much. It is a shame the way things worked out for Kinmon. No one should spend his senior year going back and forth between schools.
