What does Owen County need to do to improve in 2012? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

 

They may have trouble topping last season but I think they can have a successful year. Owen County loses about 14 seniors including District POY Sawyer Williams and lots of size and strength however they return QB Adam Hazlett, WR Chris Day, and the speedy duo of Collin Trammel and Paul Banks. I believe that the kicker returns also. A talented group of 8th graders will be joining the team as freshman also, most of them will be a year or two away from contributing to the varsity team but I expect to see a couple of them get some time on the field including Williams younger brother Carson and Mason Borchers.

I agree. They are definitely losing some very strong players, but they are returning a lot too. I think the Rebels have a bright future ahead of them! Coach Fowler sure has turned the program around.

I like Borchers. He will be good. I think hoops is where the youngers Williams' heart is and not that he won't continue to play football, but I see a good blast from someone will have him thinking about hoops season.
