Wow, I agree he is having a great year, but I'm not sure I can call him "best ever". He still has another season to play, so I am going to wait before I can put him in there with David Fowler, Jeff Boyd, and his brother, Luke.

PTL no one was even injured... concerning the scoreboard, are we going to try to get that repaired before the game against Caldwell Co. in 2 wks ?

So, we've been winning football games for 100 years...wow! I remember watching my first Mayfield football game as a 5 yr old in 1966....at Hopkinsville. I remember Hopkinsville was really good.

I agree with your post concerning Bellvue... how do you get beat by almost 30 pts and then make it in to the top ten at the ninth spot? It could be that 1A football falls off so sharply after the top two or three that it becomes difficult to rank them. NOW, I still believe that Beechwood is in the top two or three in class A football. With ALL respect to Hazard (that loss we suffered at their hands in the title game last year still smarts), Raceland, and Fairview, in my opinion, Beechwood is better thn they are. So, I would have Beechwood in the top three.

I got the good word from his grandfather that the young man that had left the team has returned to the team. (I hope that makes sense)

One thing in favor of this year's team is that they have played the toughest non-district schedule of the three...if my memory serves me correctly. That said, I still choose the 2010 team at this point.

Gotta wait for the season to play out to be fair...but, IMO, no way is this team as good as the 2010 team that finished the year with no losses and 11 running clock wins out 15 games won. they get my vote out of the three, so far.

Our secondary is young, and it shows, but they will improve. Seventh consecutive win by the Cardinals over the Big Blue...longest streak by either team in the series 99 year history. Great game by Jackson, as usual, and by Guhy, who seems to be improving each week.

I believe this will be a great game...Coach Wyatt of PT is feeling the pressure of not having beaten Mayfield yet...after last year's loss, I listened to his radio show the next day and he was in meltdown mode. So, needless to say, the Big Blue will be motivated. But I still think that Mayfield has all the tools to hang a seventh consecutive defeat on the Blue Tornado. Mayfield wins by a touchdown.

Details are not clear as to whether this is true, but I have heard from reputable sources that it is a reality. I'm also not sure as to the reason(s) why this may be happening. I'm sure someone more informed than me will clear it all up.
