Starter? Not sure if she should start or not, but I only see four clear cut starters. IMO the fifth starting spot could go to Seibert, Davenport, or Zimmerman. I would say Seibert has as good as chance as anyone to start. All three girls have their strenghts. I believe they should all be in the rotation. They should be used not only for the fifth starting spot, but also to give the other four players some much need breaks during games. Coach Stowers at SK flat wears teams out by playing 8-9 players. If NCC doesn't want to play her then bring her to SK. I'm certain Coach Stowers would love to have her speed and skills. I was told Seibert is not getting hardly any minutes in a lot of games. If that's the case then there must be more to the story. If you think Seibert should not be getting some quality minutes then your fooling yourself. I know their coach is young and it's his first year. hopefully he will figure it out by the end of the year. I would love to see NCC make a deep run in the 9th this year. Good Luck!

It was a great game! Thats the best I've seen Bosse play all year. I do agree with you on Seibert. Kid can play but got very limited minutes last night. One of the parents from NCC said the coach has not been playing her much lately. That's a shame. She could help NCC in a lot of ways. I don't think she is injured or ill.

Cooper will be better than last year, but I still think they will be on the outside looking in for the 33rd district. IMO district finals will be between Conner and Boone. Ryle and Cooper will not make the regional tournament.

It was another sluggfest last night at SK. It looked like SK ran out of gas down the stretch. Both teams played extremely hard in this physical game. It was a great crowd, the stundent sections were great, and coach Trame's bow tie was pretty funny. Coach Trame has done a great job with the Walton boys team. He did a great job at SK back in the day. Good news is that both teams will get to move on to the region tournament.

It looks like you know the program very well. I was try to tell people that Walton has a really good coach right now. I was trying to tell people to give him a break. Sorry if my comments about Luebbe and Rosen hit a sore never. Since you seem to know all the info about the Walton program, please let me know how many times coach Luebbe beat SK in the coach Stowers era. I cannot remember any. If I'm not mistaking, coach Stowers owned coach Luebbe. Most of the info you listed stopped at 2003. In the early 2000's SK was really bad only winning very few games. This was prior to coach Stowers coming to SK. So when you say Walton beat SK in the early 2000's I am less than impressed. Again coach Stowers OWNED coach Luebbe and coach Rosen for a lot of years, and it got real ugly at times. As ugly as coach Stowers wanted it to get.

Seems like the Walton people give coach Miller a pretty tough way to go. I really don't understand why people are so quick to cut him down. He has taken the program to a very high level. Walton has beat SK to win the district two years in a row. Walton has won probably 20+ games two years in a row. There probably has not been a coach there ever more successful. I don't remember the last time Walton girls have been this good. Maybe the Walton fans don't remember the old days when Luebbe and Rosen coached teams would get beat by SK by 40 and never win district tournaments. I hope Walton people don't want more of those unsuccessful years. Appreciate what you have, most teams would love to be in your shoes. Enjoy it.

Congratulations to Walton on a hard fought win. This was one of those games you hated to see anyone lose. Good thing is both teams move on. We had no answer for Dixon, she single handedly carried the Bearcats to victory and was well deserving of tournament MVP. I hated to see Abby get hurt late in the game, and Hanna foul out late for SK. I must say those were two huge foul shots to tie the game with no time left on the clock by Katey Slavey at the end of the first overtime. Needless to say coach Stowers will not be adding coach Miller to his Christmas card list anytime soon. Good luck to both teams in the region. Again a great game and the fans got their money worth.

Owings (freshman) and Stephenson (junior) both have been playing well, both can penetrate and both will be back next year. I can assure you if Slavey gets limited minutes in the game tomorrow night coach Stowers will be adding coach Miller to his Christmas card list soon.

Slavey is a dead eye pure shooter! If Miller does not need her bring her back to SK, I'm sure coach Stowers would love to have her. If she were at SK she would get tons of shots. Our guards are really good at penetration which would draw the defense in so she could spot up and shoot. She would be a great complement to them.

SK guards were so much more Superior and faster offensively and defensively than Walton's it was not even funny. Walton's inside players could not get involved because their guards could not get them the ball. Wainscott did not force the issue on offense, her presence alone drew enough attention that it created space for her team to score. SK took care of the ball and out rebounded Walton. Walton has a better inside game than SK. SK has better guards, that's why we beat Walton on a regular basis and will continue to do so.

My point exactly. They win a bunch of games against weak teams and not very many at all against good teams.We will play again still before the districts. We have not been playing very well, so it should be a good game. We have Wainscott you guys have Dixon. If its a fast pace game our guards will wear you guys out. If its a slow pace inside game you guys might beat us. We will see soon.

Looking at the stat line it looks like only Dixon and former SK player Slavey were the only two that showed up. Combined for 42 of the 54 points. Where was the rest of the team? It looks like lack of production from the other players was a big contributer to the loss. Also I heard the coach was double parked and had to go move his car at the end of the third quarter, giving up a 18 poiny lead. Were there no adjustments or substitutions in the fourth or what? Once again Walton cannot win games against better than average teams. If they would play the same schedule as SK they would not win as many games, but would get better as an end result. Beating up on weak teams gives you false confidence.

WOW!!! To lose an 18 point lead in the last 7 minutes. That's CRAZY!

I believe that SK will beat Walton and have the number one seed in the district tournament. Strictly because we have better guards. Guard play seems to win more games than post play these days. I will admit that the score of this game really surprises me. A Walton team who lost no one from last year, added yet another solid transfer, and supposedly has a great coach. I would have expected it to be a good game. Seems they have a difficult time against ninth region teams.

I always enjoyed watching Miles play. He was a great high school running back, not to mention he played defense a lot also. He probably was not better than Alexander at running back but he could play both ways all night long. It would be hard to say Miles was not in the top five. I hope we get to see him play some quality minutes next year in college. I can't wait to see how he measures up! Go get em Miles!
