Canady will be a solid player, but look for Merida to be a horse this season at TB. I think he was hurt last season is that correct?

Many kids play 2 or more sports. I agree with HDE if a kid wants to he can play 2 or more sports and still get big in weight room. That is all up to the individual kid and how hard he wants to work. Basketball makes kids better football players and football makes kids better B-ball players. I think I said that correct, but anyway I agree with HDE. Good Luck to the Bears.

Should be a top 5 team again in the 13th region. Knox Central has had good B-ball talent the last several years. Top 5 1. Clay Co. 2. Corbin 3. South Laurel 4. Knox Central 5. Bell Co.

Knott should be rated first, but Hazard and Perry Central will be in the hunt also.

This to me should be the first Ky. kid signed by Coach Cal. and the new staff at UK. I have watched him play several times and I think he is the best D-1 talent in the state. Reason: He is a physical 6'5 guard who can really defend and get to the goal. He also has a pretty nice touch from the outside. I think he would be a solid addition to UK or any other SEC school. Interesting, I thought he may hold out to try for the Clay job in the future.

Hazard will be solid, but I look for Perry Central or Knott Central to win the 14th next season.

They have a good group of young kids. The Dragons have not had a very solid team in several years. Good Luck to the Dragons of Harlan.

Should be quicker than they was last season. They will have to get big numbers out of Houge and Simmons. The Bears do have a very good Freshman class, but so does Clay, Knox, South, and Harlan Independent. The Bears will have to find a third scoring option to hang with the likes of Corbin, South, Clay, Knox, and Bell.

I watched him play two times last season. This kid plays inside LB almost as good as he does RB. This is not a joke, but the games I watched he had over 200 yards rushing and at least 12 to 15 tackles. He is the best player I have seen in the mountains in a long time. Congrats:clap::thumb:

Clay Co. will be one of the top 5 or 6 teams in the AAU. They have a very talented team with a boat load of guards.

Has anyone seen the brackets? Who are some of the top teams that will be playing this week?

:thumb:West Jess. has to be rated (1) one after making a final four run last season. Polson is one of the best guards in the state and they have some other key players returning.

That was my question in a previous post. What is Evans track record other than Whitley Co. and Union College? What was his records at the college and high school levels?

I had a real hard time after my top 5 putting them in the best order. I could not remember the kids name from Clay Co. which was Hooker. I would have to add him to the list which would give Clay Co. 3 players out of my top ten. They also have a very good shooter on the wing and I can not think of his name. He would also be hard to keep out of this list. I guess what I am trying to say is after the first 5 or 6 the others would be hard to pick.

Has Evans coached high school ball other than Whitley? This is the same coach that was @ Union College also? What was his teams records at Whitley and Union?

Is Whitaker interested from Hazard? He is a solid coach and if he got the job you could about go ahead and rate Knox Central as the top team in the 13th with his son teaming up with Miller.

Coach Larkey built that program up as one of the top 5 programs in Eastern Ky. over the past 10 years. I do not see anything different from Coach Parkey and his staff. Look for the Rock to get back on track next season and give the Bobcats all they want.

Channing Fugate would get my vote (RB/LB Breathitt Co.).

Elam done a good job @ Knox Central, but the thing that hurt him was the big game. That is what most fans measure success in any sport on is the big one. Knox Central has good talent every year and they will be one of the top 3 or 4 teams again next season. When a coach has some success like Elam did, people want to start seeing more than a district title. Good luck to Coach Elam in the future. I am sure he will get a coaching job soon.

Help me out on this one guys. I believe Breathitt Co. and Williamsburg has solid QB's.

Williamsburg has a really good QB. I would put him in the top 5 QB's in Eastern Ky. W-burg seems to small up front on the D-line every year and that seems to hurt them late in the season. They seem to have had a solid team for the past 10 + years.

They will have a good chance to win the region again next season. They have three starters back and had a really good JV team last year.
