I am out of town but wouldn't just about every field in the area be playable with the weather the last 2 days?

Every team is different but I would think most club teams have girls from all over and it would be hard to host. Club teams get almost no press so at least there can be a small write up about it with it being done at the HS.

That's awesome congrats to Jenalee and to WV for a nice win. I am guessing Ginn has played since her 7th grade year, 350 hits would be around 60 a season. That is real impressive for her, I think a shout out to Walton and their coaching staff is in order for putting her in position to obtain such a nice record. I know there have been several years where the Holy Cross kids have barly had 60 AB's.

By not seeding IMO it makes the regular season meaningless. I always tell the kids there are only 3 games a year you have to win before districts and that is our district games.

She did ok, was either 2 for 3 or 1 for 3 with a couple walks, and a double. I didn't see her last ab and she's not as bad as BGH but she said it was a hit.

I talk during the game way to much to give to much details. All in all is was a fairly clean game defensively, HC usually has a bunch of errors but didn't have many last night. HC pitchers stuggled thowing strikes which is one of the teams biggest problems. I would guess HC had upwards of 15 hits, they have hit ok the last 2 games against average to below average pitching. Scott like HC just doesn't have much, I guess Audrey Williamson is hurt or no longer playing bc she was in street clothes. She is capable of thowing well and keeping Scott in a game. The pitcher last night just did not have enough speed to be effective. She also had her share of walks. Anna Shoemake for Scott is a name you don't here much but she can play with almost anyone in the region, one of the better hitters and fielders in NKY.

Haven't been to SK since last year and it was nice but IMO no where near Scott's field. Have you been been to Scott this year? Scott's field has a stadium type feel and look to it. Maybe I just think Scott is really nice bc I live in that district and if you are going to play for a crappy team why not go to the school that has a really nice complex.

The story of this game is Scott's new field, looks great. I haven't seen everyone's field but I would be surprised if its not the nicest in NKY. There are a ton of colleges that would love to have their field.

Have no idea about Morehead's new coach but he has to be better than their old coach. Seems she really did a number on Morehead, left them high and dry for a school that is just starting a program. I believe she took all her unsigned recurits with her and somewhat bad mouth Morehead on her way out. Morehead was left scrambling for a new coach and had no future recurits. She was the first the first to offer my daughter her freshman year and thank goodness my daughter was not interested in playing for her. Sorry to be long winded, anyway good luck to Ginn I am sure if the situation is right she will end being a real productive at Morehead.

Come on Lawnboy you do a recap and can't get all the details right, Stanly was lifted for a pinch runner when that double play happended!! You are acting like BGH!!! kidding of course. Nice recap I would not be able to give that much detail. I was really impressed with New Cath's second baseman made some nice plays. Lawnboy it was nice to meet you, now we just need to keep our daughters away from each other on the field!

St Henry finally made me look good!! Nice win, as long as both win their Districts there is a real good chance we will see this game played again in the region finals.

It is mildly amusing but not for the kids that the powers that be ran out a good coach and a QB that Guru mentioned in another thread is good enough to play against the athletes at Colerain. How many current GCHS players are on that level? It wasn't too long ago that some people down there thought that QB was terrible. Good decisions left and right down there by the people in charge.

I would stop at Ryle and Connor, then add Boone, St Henry, Dixie and NDA. Then everyone else falls in to that no mans area. I would be shocked if any other team won the region besides Ryle or Connor. My long shot pick was and has been St Henry.

Why can't Brossart just lose!! Kidding congrats on the win. Dixie is playing well just seems like they are losing all the close games against good teams. Usually a team like Dixie that is getting close this year will be a force the following year if they do not lose to many kids.

My apologies it is Kirsten, I even got on OU's website to check and still got it wrong!! I wouldn't be in the market for a pitching coach and have no clue if she will be returning to the area and would want to give lessons but if she was I know where my money would be going.

I believe Michigan won it several years ago. The SEC teams are there just can't seem to bring it home.
