The 31st District does seeding, but due to a three way tie for the #1 seed between Gallatin, Henry, and Carroll, a draw was used to determine the top three seeds. Carroll will be the #1 and will play the winner of the #4 Owen County/#5 Eminence game, which is very interesting considering that Owen has outscored Carroll 22-2 in the last two meetings. Gallatin and Henry will play in the other semifinal matchup, not sure who was determined #2 or #3. As a Gallatin fan, seeding really matters VERY little this year in the 31st District. As far as Gallatin's 31st District foes go, I think that Owen has the best pitching, Henry the best coach, and Carroll the best hitting team. Eminence is vastly improved, much better than I have ever seen them, but they will have a tough team beating Owen and advancing in my opinion. Gallatin will host the 31st District starting Monday May 21.

Thanks for the update and good luck to your Gallatin County team in the 31st District tournament and hopefully the Regional tournament.

Good luck. There are a number of good young teams in this district.

As FBD said, it does not make much difference this year, but Gallatin should have been the #1 seed. If you have a 3 way tie, the record amongst the 3 teams is what they should have gone by. GC was 3-1, CC was 2-2, and HC was 1-3. The only way you have a blind draw is if the 3 teams all split.

Once again, doesn't make much difference this year, but it could in future tournaments. Good luck to all the schools in Warsaw for the 31st.
