Okay Daddy's turn again. I was sitting right next to the MC cheering section 2 rows behind Danny Weddle, who was sitting right next to Clark Co.'s Coach. MC's principal was over in the cheering section numerous times. I didn't see any water being thrown any where. Period. Goldie, if I'm correct I saw you sitting mid court across from me. So I would have had a front row seat to any of this, much better than your view. In addition my son was in that mix and you can trust in the fact that if I had seen it, I would have pulled him out and kicked a part of his anatomy that I can't type on this site without being banned, plus any of his friends surrounding him. Oh and by the way 2 of the principal's kids were on the front row and you can bet he won't tolerate that behavior. Secondly. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I know I'm not, Bart Lennox is the same ref that made a very controversial call (over and back) in a regional final between these 2 schools a few years back. Seems to me like the GRC fans thought that call was wonderful and the Mason fans thought it was bad. Now the situation is reversed. You take the good with the bad. That is basketball folks. Thirdly, the previous poster who quoted the conversation between Lennox and Rogers on very good authority is telling the absolute truth. :thumb:

You know it's pretty sad when these 15 to 18 year old kids play their guts out each and every night to entertain us and for some reason people want to play the blame game. And as far as officials go you guys can say what you want but they're human also and sometimes they do make the wrong calls no saying at all that it wasn't goal tending. I just wish some of you people who play the blame game would give the players and officials their due bacause without both of them it would be a very very boring winter!!!!

Congratulations Mason County Royals!!!! You played with the hearts of true champions!!

I'm not the Good Lord, so I won't give a prediction. But I will say that the Royals do have another reason to play even harder tomorrow night. Their team manager, who is a senior, leaves on Wednesday to go to Boston to see a cancer specialist, I think a state tourny trip would certainly give him something to look forward to upon his return. I also can't understand why Blueford didn't see the floor in the second half. This kid can flat out play and is the best rebounder on the team. The only consolation is that he will be well rested for tomorrow night as should be Tyler Black. The Royals have an inside game, why not use it? On a side note, I heard on the radio that Mason Co. raised almost $25,000.00 tonight with the chili supper and silent auction for their team manager who is battling cancer. It sounds like their biggest accomplishment took place off the court and had nothing to do with basketball. Good luck to the Murphy family and get well Kenton!!!

I wouldn't have believed it, had I not been there. I talked to the Deming kid after the game and he was totally embarassed.

To make a long story short, Deming is up by 5 with the ball and a little over a minute left in the game. Before they can get the ball in, one of the Fleming Co players kisses a Deming kid on the cheek, who responds by shoving the kid. The result is an intentional foul on the Deming kid, Fleming shoots 2 foul shots and gets the ball back. It could have cost Deming the game, but it didn't. I will admit, this is the craziest thing I've ever seen in a basketball game!!!

Deming let the panthers back after leading 41 - 26 at the half. I must say Fleming Co. tried to pull out every trick in and out of the book in this one. Interesting game to say the least.

Rheuben Blueford - Mason Co. This kid has come out of nowhere and is playing extremely well.

I don't think the Royals have been playing very well. They will have to step it up in order to beat Brossart. This team misses Pawsat and Gilbert isn't quite playing up to par.

It should be mentioned that Deming is playing without a starter Ethan Earlywine who is sitting out a few games. He helps them out under the basket.

This one is final from Mt. Olivet. It has to be considered a major upset. Coach Andy Arn for St. Patrick gets his first win as a head coach.

Treg was invited down to watch the Alabama vs. LSU football a couple of weeks ago. So it would appear the Crimson Tide is showing interest. :sssh:

Under normal circumstances I'd pick Mason easily. But there is alot of sickness in Mason Co right now including some of their football players. I don't know if it's spread across the line or not. Anything can happen, the boys in blue need to get healthy and come ready to play.

According to his post game comments, it doesn't sound like Coach Buchanan is to thrilled with the defensive performance. So there must be a problem somewhere.

Yeah I will agree that watching my wife hide crackers in a tampon box so that the idiot ushers wouldn't take them away from a baby was totally worth paying the price of admission for. NOT! But boy did it increase her creativity. Welcome home 10th regional tournament!!

Is it common for boys and girls varsity golf teams to have the same coach?

I'snt Coach Harris considered the defensive coach? Maybe this situation will improve once he quits trying to coach 2 sports during the same season. Defense is definitely something the Royals will have to improve on to go far into the post season. There are some great kids on this team. Keep finding that way to win!!

According to Danny Weddle's sports blog, he didn't finish in the top 10 in the Mason County /St. Pat Invitational.

That's funny I thought the situation had more to do with his father's job and the family's financial sitauation than anything else and Phil was upset about the possible move. Treg Setty did suffer a hairline fracture of the jaw and may face surgery. Get well soon Treg!

Organized defense would be nice as well.

Luke King, Deming, is playing on this team as well I believe.
