The East Ky. Expo Center... It appears that Shelby Valley may have lost a starter though to a knee injury against J-town...

I don't think Shelby Valley is in the same league as teams like Mason Co., Scott Co., and a few others... However, they are capable of playing with the next tier of top teams in the state. Also, agree with the statement on Elisha Justice... He plays a very large part in the success of Shelby Valley.

South Floyd was terrible last season (4-24), and appear to be worse this season (0-10)...

Country Music Highway Holiday Tournament

This is probably the biggest name school that Shelby Valley has ever defeated. So just wondering... how does this Male team compare to the better teams around the state?

The game could have gone either way. Shelby Valley led the entire 1st half, and most of the second. The player that missed the free throws was Heyman. SV had no answer for him underneath the basket. The pressure of SV's guards really controlled the game.

Pikeville Struggled to pull away from Belfry in this game... With all the claims of Pikeville's huge improvement this year I expected a much larger margin of victory...

Game MVP's JBS-Tate Cox LC-Taylor Stewart (sp?)

Male is a huge step up in competition from the other teams they've played thus far. If Shelby Valley doesn't force alot of turnovers they will have a difficult time. I don't think they will do well against Male in the half court...

There will be a large # of people there to watch Darius Miller...

Downtown Pikeville

From what I hear Withrow has a couple of really good athletes. It sounds like it will be a tough test for Scott Co.

I think Cumberland will come away with a victory in this one. Not sure that JC has anybody that can hang with Desmond Johnson...

It looks very similar to last season. Shelby Valley, Paintsville, and Pikeville appear to be ahead of everyone else. It looks like Johnson Central may be down a little, and Allen Central may be better than expected.

Corbin has narrowed the gap between the two teams, but SL will be too much for the Redhounds. Without Crawford, Corbin just doesn't have enough firepower to hand with the Cards.

Scott County and Lex Cath travel to the Manchester to take on two mountain teams this Friday. Scott Co. will face off against Clay County and Lex Cath will battle June Buchanon. Nice to see some of the state's finest coming to the mountains... Predictions??? Scott Co. will handle Clay with ease, and JBS may hang with Lex Cath for a half, but LC wins by double digits...
