I've not seen the kid play yet, but I doubt that he will have much of an impact this year. It will take him a couple of years to adjust to the speed at the high school level, but the potential is there to be a nice player. My understanding is that Michael Rowe has looked pretty good thus far this year.

I honestly see this game as a toss up... Leslie will struggle to put points on the board against the more athletic OBI team.

Hazard has much more athleticism than PCC, but it's hard to predict rivalry games. Jason Kelly is a nice player for the Commodores, but seems to be pretty inconsistent. I think Hazard comes away with the "W" in this one.

Shelby Valley is still a relatively young team, playing 5 sophomores, 2 juniors, and 2 seniors. SV isn't a physically dominant team, but uses good ball movement to create most of their offense. SV has made it to the state tournament 4 of the last 6 years but has yet to win a game at state. Last year they were defeated by Elliott County.

I agree that Cumberland should definitely be in the running for the 13th...

People from the metro areas probably see dunks like this all the time, but they are few and far between in the mountains. Johnson is one of the better athletes in the mountains...

If you've not had a chance to see the East KY Expo Center you will be surprised at how nice of a facility it is.
