Out of the TOP 16 listed, only 7 teams could make it to the SWEET 16 in the best case scenario. District and Region tourneys will dwindle this field down quickly.

J'town is another really good team which can't make it out of their region in my opinion. Nice win for South!

George Washington is a top 50 nationally ranked team with a lot of quick athletes. Scott will have their hands full, but will win at home.

Watts is a really nice, super strong player

Unbelievable district. Seneca is getting the bad end of the deal. Great team, but can't make it out of their district.

I noticed this on Wireman's blog. This is a very unusual triple double. Wouldn't this be a NCAA violation. I didn't think you can have practice off campus, especially open to the public. This would open up a whole new world of recruiting.

Jackson turns the ball over too much right now to be considered the best point guard in the state. He has a little of Liggins in him in that he makes a good play one possession and then turns the ball over the next possession.

The buzz around the state tourney was Timmy Knipp will take Phares spot at Scott County next year.

Congrats to Holmes on an impressive win. Congrats to Elliott on a great run over the last few years. It ended on a sour note though with no championships to show for them except district and regions. The media probably should have waited for them to win an All "A" state championship or Sweet 16 state championship before doing all the national media hype about them being the next Hoosiers II. It probably would not have put so much pressure on the boys to win one or both.
