Greenup County 2011/2012
I've heard different opinions down there so far, but most have been positive about the new coach. He has a very respectable record and I will say that Greenup will win the 63rd district this year.

Greenup County job is open again
Sources close to the program are code for "read it on another site". All of our prognosticators couldn't have possibly guessed who was in line for this job. Yet, I'd say we'll have someone say, "I knew it all along". Good luck to the new coach and the task at hand.

Greenup County job is open again
I disagree. Greenup had some tall kids. That's about it. Not highly skilled players as many have proclaimed for so long.

Greenup County job is open again
Well, with your track record of Greenup coach predictions, that should seal the deal that Ward will be the next guy.

Menifee County 45 Rowan County 44
You know, sometimes you should just say as little as possible when someone asks you a question. Here's coaches quote after their win over Mason: "We’ve got a good basketball team,” Thacker said. “Anybody wants to question whether we can play or whether we play a (tough) schedule, any doubters we have, if we continue to play the way we are, then we should be able to start changing those doubting Thomases into believers.” Sometimes you just say we were the better team tonight, then you don't look like a clown when you donate one to a regional bottom feeder.

Looking forward to hearing Thacker's comments on this one.

Maybe the Independent has boycotted Rose Hill. They are on a 2 year probation with the ADI as well. Orrrrrrrrr, maybe they're busy doing the basketball preview that was supposed to be in today's paper and never made it.:idunno:

Seniors Playing JV
I think at smaller schools, this is commonplace. However, at a larger school, and frankly with more highly competitive programs, there just isn't any point in playing a senior on a JV team that is, for all intents and purposes, a method to get kids ready for Varsity competition. No reason to play a kid who will have no bearing on the outcome of future basketball endeavors at a school like that. Not all kids can play basketball, nor are entitled to do so.

Can anyone defend this?
That would go diametrically against the grain of this board.

Can anyone defend this?
Exactly. But the river of tears is nearly dry from the summer's drought. It seems to be on the rise, however.

Can anyone defend this?
Like stated before, I don't think that the rest of the state will feel sorry because of travel arrangements that put these 6A districts in travel problems across the great expanse that is Louisville.
-
Can anyone defend this?
If it's not whining, what is it? And I don't know who you support, nor do I care. Didn't have to know you had to be a fan of either to whine. It's clear why the Louisville arrangement was made. It wasn't for geography, so I don't know why we have these maps. But I have a feeling that there will be alot of boohooing for seasons to come.
