Woodford County may very well win the game, but I don't think it will be due to overconfidence of Scott County. It's the region final, so I wouldn't think that would be an issue. I am one that is not surprised Woodford County is in the final, but I think Scott County will win a 3rd time.

I don't believe the administrators had any control over the weather Friday night.

Nobody is debating whether it should be done. The fact is that it is done. And Madison Central should have participated. The player that did stay around to shake hands was #20 (I think that is O'Brien).

I couldn't agree more. They didn't even shake hands. And yes I know Woodford players ran to their student section to celebrate before going to handshake line, but they did same thing against Catholic and Cathilic waited for them to shake hands. I thought it was classless.

Scott County wins easily to advance to finals against Woodford County Tuesday night.

I am not a Simon Kenton fan or from Northern Kentucky, so I have to ask -- who is Jim Deters? Sounds like he had kids at SK at one time, but other than that, does he have any qualifications that would make this worthy of a thread?

Great game. Woodford seemed to want it more than Catholic and overcame a 9 point second half deficit with pure grit. Rodney Gross with a huge driving layup at regulation buzzer to send it to overtime, but the long 3 by William Starcher in the last minute made that play possible. One subtle thing I thought Hundley did was the first possession of the second half. I thought David Greenwell was terrible in the first half, but Hundley ran a set for a 3 to start the second half. Greenwell knocked it down and he was much better the rest of the way. Catholic's Jack Whitman is very good and had a nice game with19, but Jay Johnson did a good job not allowing him to take over the game. Catholic got nothing from Dillon Avare and Craig Floyd had 16, but besides a stretch mid 3rd I thought he did not give Catholic what he normally does. Congratulations Woodford. Good luck against Madison Central Saturday.

The best thing about this is the answer to the question begins Thursday night. And, by about 9 PM next Tuesday, the test will be complete. :laugh::laugh:

If it is a Central vs SC final, I'm calling an SC win...the fact that Central dropped the annual last game of the year home/away contract could come back to bite them!

I don't think Scott County wins easily, but not sure Lafayette can handle the pressure defense for 32 minutes.

Good point. So I guess my point should be more about a bad draw for Catholic. Woodford district loss even worse when you look at the draw and what they could have gotten.

I understand what you said. I pointed out I think Clark County has simply improved a bunch. Looking at the schedule Montgomery's worst loss is Harrison County and the other 8 are to teams that could be in Rupp.

I think most people would give Clark County credit for improving. I jiuat looked at the KHSAA scoreboard curious of Montgomery's record and to me a team that goes 15-15 one year and 22-9 the next must be doing something right.

Wow. Knew Clark would be tough to beat but didn't expect this.

You got Pendleton-Harrison backwards from regular season. Harrison won by 12 and was playing better at the end than Pendleton, that's why people are surprised.

It's better for Scott County, but I was looking forward to a Henry Clay-Scott County game Friday. Henry Clay peaked too early. I would think there is a certain group of HC supporters not too happy with Daniel Brown.

Heard Station came back 14 down to win it. If I am not mistaken Henry Clay went from 13 in a row to 3 straight losses and a first round flame out. I predicted a month ago that their youth would be their downfall even though they were most talented in region.
