If Montgomery allows Henry Clay to control the pace and get the game into the 70's, I think it may be a long night for the Indians.

He got Mr. Basketball because he was gong to Kentucky. Same reason next year's award is over with Derek Willis already committed. And that's not to say either aren't deserving.

There are only two to be considered IMO...Stenzel and Prewitt...based on their body of work against tough schedules and seasonal stats. Does anyone have any season stats on Stenzel? I would like to see them to be able to compare to the others already listed.

Word is he will get re-evaluated a week from Monday to be cleared. Hard to see him making any impact at all.

Henry Clay played no help with Gilbert and that shut him down. He was 0 for 6. Manning has improved his outside shooting this year but had a tough night last night (0 for 7). His were no more contested than they been all year, just a bad night. Would have liked to see him take less and play inside more, but Scott County played from behind most of the game.

He was medically cleared but I heard suspended along with a couple of teammates for different reasons tonight. Maybe somebody closer to the siuation can elaborate.

They aren't going anywhere. The 3 have played together since they were in 2nd grade.

As I have said before Henry Clay is most talented team in the region. The sophomores were all good, especially Christen Cunningham on his return to Scott County. Tichenor w as a factor inside for HC as well. The game got away from Scott County in the second quarter when Tamron Manning committed his 3rd foul with six minutes left. Scott County was down 12 early third and ends up taking a one point lead early 4th. Henry Clay responded with an 8-0 run. Scott County exerted so much energy to get back in the game. Cunningham took control offensively late and shot 12 free throws in the 4th as SC was continually called for hand checks. Looking forward to the rubber match I the district finals.

Because I do not know, how many region titles has Bishop Brossart won? Not counting All A.

I'm not sure I'd put Montgomery Co and Campbell Co in the same breath.

Larry was at Dunbar in 8th grade illegally. Used grandparents (or someones) address but it was documented and proven he didn't live there. Transferred and sat out a a freshman at LexCath and never played a game there. Transferred to Bryan Station at start of last year. Sadly, he is getting awful advice from someone.

Seems as if Harrison County is playing better. With that being said, is it time to accept the fact that the 37th district isn't as good as advertised?

IMO GRC has shown a great knack for winning close games. However, playing that style lends itself to having teams stay closer than they should come tournament time. With their lack of depth, if Fatkin or Bopper get into foul trouble, they could spell a dangerous situation.

Black was a non factor in the second half. 1-7 shooting for 3 points. He obviously is not in playing shape as of yet. However, he was a stud in the first half on 6-8 shooting.

Blind draw is crazy. But, why would Deming and Nicholas ever vote anything different. Blind draw is only way one of these 2 teams ever gets out of the district. By the way, on a side note, this just make other district finals in the 10th Region even more important to potentially get Deming or Nicholas. It didn't matter as much if you were getting Harrison or Pendleton in the first round of region.

Henry Clay is the most talented team in the region. But because of their youth, they have weird results like a 2-point win over Simon Kenton (of course, that game should have been in overtime), a 6-point win over Bryan Station (tied with a minute left) while also beating Madison Central handily. Heck, I have seen stretches within games where they are unbeatable then minutes later look like a completely different team. Has to drive Daniel Brown crazy. I definitely think they can win the 11th Region due to their talent, I just think they are a year away from doing it each and every night.

You are right. Sorry I was thinking I had mentioned some candidates. Jayshean Page at Perry Central is really good, but moving into KY for only one year may hinder him. Tamron Manning of Scott County has really picked his game up lately and making the best of his senior year. It's showing in his team's play as they are playing as good as anyone. Jay Johnson of Woodford County, I think, would have won it without the knee injury. Taylor Barnette's chances might have gone out the window with his recent injury, but he is as good as it gets. The junior and sophomore class has gotten so much fanfare in the state this year, it's easy to forget some seniors.

And actually Bopper was the 3rd best senior on the floor tonight behind Greenwell and Johnson. Would every team in the state love to have Bopper on their team? Heck yes. I'm not trying to say he can't play. He's very good, just not Mr. Basketball.

Personally I could care less what team Bopper plays for. He plays hard and does what GRC needs. But we are talking about Mr. Basketball. He is simply not deserving in my mind. Just like you have an opinion I have one. I just think the GRC fans opinions are definitely skewed by what name is on the front of the jersey.

In the prediction thread I said Greenwell was the key. And 22 is Addison Hollin. Best game of year scoring I think. Johnson had 5 assists I believe on his baskets. He struggled to score when Fatkin played behind him but passed out of it well.
