Pendleton County and Harrison County draw each other yet again. So the 2nd and 3rd ranked teams in the 10th Region preseason will face off in the first round, and either Nicholas County and Deming will play.

 

Nicholas County lost to Pendleton County 88-48. Deming lost to Pendleton 78-51, and lost to Harrison 73-33.

Blind draw is crazy. But, why would Deming and Nicholas ever vote anything different. Blind draw is only way one of these 2 teams ever gets out of the district.

 

By the way, on a side note, this just make other district finals in the 10th Region even more important to potentially get Deming or Nicholas. It didn't matter as much if you were getting Harrison or Pendleton in the first round of region.

Hate they drew each other. Like others like teams to be seeded.

Carlisle will be rocking on this night! Basically the district championship game, with a region tournament game type feel for it.

Harrison beats Pendleton 73-61 on the Hilltop. On a neutral court, it'll be anyones game!! Who'll come out on top? Should be an interesting game!!

Not having mandatory seeding statewide is, as Stephen A. smith would say, "asinine, Asa-10,Asa-11,Asa-12!"

Not seeding=Ridiculous. I've long stated that seeding should be mandated statewide.

Not seeding is crazy, but like mentioned in an earlier post, Nicholas County and Deming would be silly to ever vote for seeding. Bottom line is this: HC or PC will be 38th District Champs and some other district winner will have an easy first round game when they face either Deming or Nicholas County. I was able to watch the PC/HC game in Cynthiana last Friday and the score doesn't show how close the game really was. HC is well coached and have a very good team, but so does PC so in the end it comes to to players executing the game plan and who does that the best will be 38th District Champs!!!

That now makes 5 of the last 7 years that Pendleton and Harrison have drawn each other in the first round of the district. They are 2-2 in the first four. May the best team win. At least this year it's on a neutral floor and no I never complained about the last six district tournaments being on Harrison's floor.
