  1. Wonder if Clark Co. thinks Ohio, Flemingsburg and Montgomery Co are part of the exchange program.
  2. Annie Garland's knee injury is all I can say. If Annie doesn't tear the ACL, they are cutting down the nets again. No way, Clark beats them once, let alone three times. Now, congrats to Clark, they did play who was there and did win, so congrats to them. But they certainly benefited from the injury to Garland.
  3. Excellant post. And, try officiating some time. These kids are very fast and very physical. Very tough game to call these days. The game is also much faster on the court than it is in the stands. People need to cheer for their teams and lay off officials and coaches. It wont change a thing. It never has and it never will.
  4. MC team dynamic changed with the injury to Brandon Fruth a few games back. This team was comfortable with him being at the point and they never seemed to get in a groove since his injury. I think it changed AZ's game the most. Mostly, because it took him out of his reguarly position as he was required to run the point some. AZ did a nice job with all of it, but it did change the flow of play for him. Down the stretch Tyler Fruth certainly gave his best effort to lead the team. Omar is a great kid and will be an even better player. Pendleton frosh is also a nice player but his game is not in the same zip code of Prewitt's game. I thought PC coach did a nice job of taking away the passing lanes from MC drive game. He coaches with a lot of passion. PC played nice, but it seemed like every strange play or loose ball went their way. Once late in the game on PC's end several players were attacking a loose ball, the ball ejects out of the pile right under the rim where a PC player was standing. It was PC's night all the way around. Some games are like that, along with their good hustle play, PC had everything working their way. Overall, a good game to watch.
  5. I believe the Pendleton students have been watching Cov Cath and youtube, so if that is creativity, then so be it. But I must admiit they did a great job of coming together and pulling it off.
  6. Agreed, but they are hopefully playing for something important at that time of the year. Some schools need to draw players into the program. Even current players, if you go out and are trying to work on fundamentals, its hard to keep focus when its 35, if you are outside. If its 35 and you are preparing for the playoffs, its on then! But Spring football is all about fundamentals, there are no game plans to discuss.
  7. No one desires to start Spring football in 35 degree temps. Spring football should be moved to start around April 1 at the earliest. Its too cold, not even the coaches like it. Anyone that says starting now is a good thing, is not being honest with themselves or anyone else. Spring football is a good thing, but poorly "ruled" by its timing.
  8. He is an athelete for sure. He is not the best BB player in the region. He cannot match up in size, either height or bulk. Can he shoot from outside?
  9. It will take a pack of dogs and a civil engineer to find a coach.
  10. Without a doubt, a great coach. He loves the game and he coaches it that way. He knows the drill. He will prepare his team and they will be ready for whatever is thrown at them.
  11. Neither were my comments. You gotta love the Cards. They have more size than Georgetown College. The guys are a huge HS team. I don't believe they can be beaten. They are really on a roll right now.
  12. We can all agree on one thing. The game plan has certainly gotten some attention from others. Like it or not, the MC game plan will cause Clark Co. to prepare differently this week.
  13. Some body better go to work on that issue. It would appear so much time has been spent on building this 4 year group that the future might be lean. But I doubt it, Clark is the only 6A school in the 10th. Surely, they will continue to be a strong contender well beyond next season. Is there another 6A school in the 10th?
  14. I see it as a toss up. Whoever does the fundamentals best will win it.
  15. I'm not sure Clark has a weakness either. But it will interesting to see how teams strategically face them in the 10th and state tournament should they get there. I personally think Clark advances to the Sweet 16.
  16. When are you as big and talented as Clark is ....it is a waste of time to talk about your positives. They are endless, but the negatives may get you beat. So, it interesting discussion if nothing else. In the 10th region, Clark is clearly the favorite. So, why not talk about what they must do or avoid to win. When you have 5-6 players taller than 6'5", you can expect the "monkey to be on your back" to be the winner. Talk about the other teams weaknesses all you want. Everybody knows they have weaknesses, including them.
  17. It worked big time....you gotta believe if another with more height played this type of game the entire night that it would make a difference. MC was going to struggle on the boards. So every shot had to count. With more size, I think a slow game does not suit Clark Co.
  18. Did Montgomery expose a weakness for Clark? Could "slow ball" be their Kryptonite?
  19. We are all blessed by this great structure. I'm sure its origins can be found in Genesis.
  20. I'd say all injuries will be better by tomorrow. But not today. It is a fact, that cold weather effects your joints. Clark by 15, if the weather is good.
  21. Come on ....Akeem Scott and Chris Mullins from Montgomery Co. and no one mentions Billy Ray Fawns, Tiller, Jeff Taylor or Ken Lee? Scott or Mullins couldn't wash the jocks of Fawns, Tiller, Taylor or Lee.
  22. Overcoming "TRUE" adversity and living with regret are two different things. I'm sure their 4th qtr performance pains them a bunch, but that is not adversity, its just good old fashioned regret.
