Stenzel with only 5 points?

If every basketball game was played like that, I'd never watch another game. Standing and holding the ball for a couple of minutes with no action at all in the last quarter,17 points down sure doesn't seem like a good coaching move to me. If you're going to play, play, that was pathetic. :irked:

I think he only shot about 5,maybe 6 times the whole game. He made some great passes.

Considering that the last time these two played the half time score was 40 something to 9 I would say the strategy was pretty effective. If Clark happens to miss a couple of those quick 3's this one could have been upset city.

It might have been ugly to the fans but there's no question it was Montgomery's best chance to pull an upset.

I agree and have always had a lot of respect for your comments, but it was very hard to watch, win or lose.

I knew we would see a slowed down game and the score would be much closer than last time. I agree it was the game plan I expected MC to go to. Don't blame their coach, I would have done the same thing. But it was hard to watch.

Game seems closer than I thought.

Not me, read Plato's and my post. MC held the ball, even down 14 points and they were holding the ball. They knew they couldn't run with the Cards. Last time they tried it got ugly early. 40+ to 9 at the half.

Question - was it harder to watch than the Bourbon Co game in the first round?

Mixed feelings on that one. Cory went down in the first quarter, so that was hard to watch. Being a Card fan, yes the Bourbon game was better. Loved seeing Fatkin and Purvis have great games. But on the other hand, felt bad for the Bourbon players.

Being a Montgomery Co fan and watching the anger across the court on the faces of all the Clark Co fans... there was some satisfaction in that.

More than that, knowing that the Indians were in striking distance in the fourth quarter made for a much better game than getting blown out by 40 or more.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

PS - I hope Rogers is ok to play next week in the region tournament.

Thanks my friend. Also best of luck to Montgomery Co in the region next week.:thumb:
