  1. Check my prediction on the prediction thread.
  2. Here is how it goes down....Bourbon gets punched in the mouth early and often. They won't respond..they won't believe they belong on the same field. This game will be won on pure physicality of Belfry's play. Bourbon has not experienced this type of FB, especially on a cold night in Pond Creek.
  3. They are looking for the body type (size), speed, classroom and off the field performance as well. Then they evaluate if the kid has already reached his full potential ( can he get better).... And, they want to see 4-5 games films where he can control a game (make a difference) no matter what position he plays. If you can't show that you can control games in HS...then D1 will be a long shot.
  4. If they do it for one game, it is special and has meaning....now its mulitiple weeks and people become numb to the "awareness" part. I think it has tipped over the edge of awareness and now its fashionable or just a cool thing to do. Do it, but don't let its meaning get diminished.
  5. Be a great choice. However, he was let go the day before Wise was removed.
  6. I don't see the players parents having anything to do with this. Wise was no tougher on them than any other coach and I don't see parents as the reason. I keep hearing it, jsut dont see it being the case.
  7. One thing for sure, if Happy is the new direction, then I don't think that could be considered a bad direction. Although, I can't see him in high school ball after all the time in college ranks, but it could happen. it stands to reason that Wise is known to be a good coach, he should be OK in the end too.
  8. That's not off at all.... Griesser, then Wise1 year, now ???? That's 3 in 3 years for sure
  9. [quote name=. You have certain people in the "community" calling shots, including some back stabbing, no wonder there is a merry-go-round with their coaches. What is this, three coaches in four years? That is a solid system for building continuity. The bottom line is that they were overrated to start the season, and even though they had some solid wins, they were not the best team in the region. The opinions of the talent particularly close to the players was greatly inflated.[/quote] I can see how people think this is happening but I don't think it is hapening in this case. I could wrong or blind to it all. I've heard the back stabbing thing too, but not sure who they feel is doing it. Again, I don't see it. They were way overrated at beginning of season and MC fans drank the kool-aid. I believe this year was their year. Lost a lot from this year and I don't see seasoned replacements.
  10. Quality coaches will do the research, I think this job will be much tougher to fill than most would expect. Somebody will take the chance but it will be a chance.
  11. That is a big move....I felt like Wise was highly regarded coming in this year. Any word on the new direction?
  12. I heard Montgomery Co was open as of today....any truth to this one?
  13. I can say without reserve, the officiating crew from the 9th that did the game where Prewitt fouled out, only to be let re-enter the game was by far the worst I have ever seen. The error to let him return was the cardboard the cake came on... The rest of the game was the icing. Bad, bad, bad from tip to buzzer. Lost control early on. That crew was unbelievably bad. I felt for the 9th region. If this was one of their best....Bless them. No wonder BB now looks like FB.
  14. I can't believe Graham stayed as long as he did. Be a nice place for a young coach looking to make a name. Their kids always play hard.
  15. Agreed. Should be fun to see it progress. 6A FB is a tough row to hoe. Should be some good FB in central KY this year.
  16. Imagine Clark Co without Harris last season. New coaching staff has plenty of work to do.
  17. Bourbon would be blessed to hire Buchanan. What is the latest?
