The refs REALLY tightened up the physical play after the ejection. There was really not much flow to the game in the 4th qtr, just a lot of FTs. These teams proved why they are ranked, by most, as the top 2 teams in the region.

The 4th qtr became a FT shooting contest on both ends. SW missed some critical FTs late that could have closed the gap. You could see both teams were absolutely gassed at the end of this one.

Have to wonder what was going thru the SW player's mind, getting Td up twice and ejected from the game. Shoved a PC player right in front of the ref, them slaps and kicks at the same player while the PC player was on the floor. SW had all the momentum at that point and PC ended up hitting 3-4 FTs and another 3 to pull back out to the large lead. Will the SW player have to sit the next game as well?

Somerset lead 2-0 and the game was tied 11-11 at the end of the 1st qtr. Pulaski never trailed after that, yet never led by more than 5 until late in the game. It just looked like a sloppy game all the way around with NOBODY wanting to be there, crowd included. Maroons built up a double digit lead by halftime and never was tested. Kody Johnson scored his 1,000th point as a Maroon tonight. Congratulations to him!

I don't see Goins in the scoring breakdown for Pulaski. Did he not play?

It was the D Coordinator, Jim Girdler. He is as intense as it gets during a game. Sounds like the pressure may have gotten the best of, not just Girdler but, the entire Warrior team. Congratulations to them on a magical ride after what they have gone through this season.

Just got a text that says Asst. coach for SW has been ejected and let the ref know he is "#1" on the way out! 28-0 Anderson in 2nd.

It was a pleasant surprise to see the Maroons defense play so aggressive and pretty much control the game. Still a lot of work to be done, especially in the penalty department. Over 100 yards in penalties with 4-5 being 15 yarders. Aaron Smith represented himself very well in his first start at QB. A little shaky with his accuracy but ran the ball like a man! It's going to be fun to watch this young man grow into the next great QB from Pulaski County.

The Northern 7th grade, Pulaski's feeder program, did win the state. Some very talented young men on the way to Coach Hines.

The weightlifting and working out are just showing commitment to the program. You want to get better? You have to sacrifice some early mornings to get there. The other stuff is more than just a little over the top. With all the turnover in coaching it sounds like the problems run real deep. Good luck, you are going to need it.

For the sake of all that is Henry County football... DO NOT let this man take control of special teams!!!!! HAHA!!!!

I have never witnessed a team shoot the ball the way West Jess did last night. Pulaski should be fine for district tournament. Just need to get rested up and healthy again.

It was 23 points with 2:30 left in the game when West pulled the starters. By far the worst game PC has played all year. As far as being at full strength, other than Eastham no longer being with the team, PC has everyone. Pulaski has been battling the illness bug, as Coach Goiver did not make the trip due to illness, but fatigue seemed to be the major factor last night. A lot of shots off the front of the iron or even missing the rim altogether. Hopefully it was just an anomaly and PC will rebound Thursday against McCreary on Senior night. Then some rest before district.

It can't get any hotter than W Jess was last night. This team has the potential to make some serious noise in the region. It is WIDE OPEN!

West just played lights out. They did not miss a shot until under 4 mins to go in the first half. Pulaski, on the other hand, could not get a break. Missed shots, rebounds being dropped out of bounds, unforced turnovers. It was a total team effort... for both teams. Good for West, bad for PC. Maroons head coach Al Gover did not make the trip due to illness. It would have not made a difference had he been there, PC just played horrible! Pulaski looks just flat tired right now. Hopefully some much needed rest will cure the ills before district tournament next week.

Zack Eastham is no longer with the team. He chose to focus on getting ready for college football. He is a super young man and will succeed no matter where he goes.

I would like to know the GPA and attendance records of the kids who are taking time off to visit schools make their announcement. I would venture to guess GPAs are above 3.0 with very good attendance. AND overall well-rounded, respectful students. Schools look at the kids not just for athletic ability, but success in the classroom and just life in general. They schedule trips for students all the time to go visit colleges, and guess what... it's always for athletics!!!!! Imagine That!!! Do some checking, you will find students from every section of school miss time for extra curricular activities, be it Band, ROTC, DECA, Choir, etc... So come down off that big mountain you are looking down on athletes from and join the rest of us in reality!

Wayne did beat PC in the Christmas tournament. That was Christmas, PC was still getting football players in basketball shape. The 2nd time around it was Pulaski who lead most of the way, up by as man as 10 in the 3rd qtr. It was one of those football players that had the huge steal with 6 seconds left to secure the victory(a player who played very little in the Christmas tournament). I'm just saying I feel the edge goes to Pulaski, knowing they CAN beat Wayne, and Wayne knows they CAN be beaten by Pulaski. We are still jumping way ahead of things as these 2 still have to make it out of district and thru region to think of the rematch.

I have to give the edge to Pulaski for the simple fact they have already proven they can beat Wayne. PC is the only in-state team to defeat the Cards, and it was on Wayne's home floor. Should these 2 make it to the region it will be a game for the ages. Great to see very good basketball being played in the 12th region once again.
