The Maroons moved out to a 28-0 first half lead and coasted from there.

Pretty impressive start for a Maroons team that lost 27 seniors last season. Congrats to the Maroons.

It was a pleasant surprise to see the Maroons defense play so aggressive and pretty much control the game. Still a lot of work to be done, especially in the penalty department. Over 100 yards in penalties with 4-5 being 15 yarders. Aaron Smith represented himself very well in his first start at QB. A little shaky with his accuracy but ran the ball like a man! It's going to be fun to watch this young man grow into the next great QB from Pulaski County.
