happy ol' dad replied to happy ol' dad's topic in Kentucky / National Politics
Former Presidents, and they don't toast them in celebration. Its a former Presidents job to meet with them. Why was Obama doing so? -

So as strong and powerful as the military means what? When I think military, I think guns and bombs. -

You never hear them mention that he said he had foreign relations experience because he lived abroad for 4 years. From the ages of 6-10 lol. Now even liberal dems are calling out the media for their bias. Yet your still going to try and defend it. His 95% tax cuts for Americans is a flat out lie. His increase of taxes on the top few percent is ridiculous. If you went ahead and taxed 100% of what was left of anyone making over 75,000 a year. That would amount to 18billion dollars, thats not that much money when you look at our total tax income. It's all lies and political ploys to get into office, then his radical ideas, like this one that he has he will implement, especially if the Dems get 60 in the Senate. He has also talked about wanting to do away with term limits. You've never heard the media talk about that either. -
Obama's "National Security Force"

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded." I'm sorry there is no way to spin that differently, that is very clear. While I'm sure it will also include, agriculturalists, economists, and so forth, it also appears that it will include some type of security force. A security force answerable only to the President. -

There's quite a bit about Obama you won't hear about, because the media wants to cover up some of what he has said. -
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?pageId=69601 Makes me think of Hitler's SA Stormtroopers. I for one do not want another military type force that is stronger or more well funded than our current military.

Raceland vs. Russell predictions...
happy ol' dad replied to The Red Rambler's topic in KY Football (High School)
Raceland has had a couple of good teams the last couple of years. I don't think this suddenly turns into a great program over the course of a great group of kids coming through, does raceland even have a district Championship? Hopefully Raceland will become a better overall program after this season, but from the looks of things it will go back to the old Raceland who will get manhandled by most schools in the area year in and year out. So while most people feel Raceland should win this game and have a good post season, I'd say over the next 10 years they will be lucky to keep within 150 total points with either Ashland or Russell. -
Raceland vs. Russell predictions...
happy ol' dad replied to The Red Rambler's topic in KY Football (High School)
Raceland has not played a tougher schedule imo. A few weeks ago you could say that. Not now, Russell's last two games have been against quality opponents. SK has really improved, and Mason is a very solid team aslo. Racelands only challenge other than Ashland is LCA who has been manhandled by Corbin and Breathitt and been shown not to be that great of a team. -
Mason is much improved since early in the season. They should roll to the third round. Russell won every statistical category, but lost the all important scoreboard one. Still at a loss for why Ivan tried throwing so much in the pouring rain, with they best playmaker Bailey out of the game, especially when averaging almost 7 yds a carry.

Raceland vs. Russell predictions...

Rams should take this one by 14 or more. Russell's D just isn't there. Offensively they don't have Bailey, who is their biggest play maker and really hurt the Rams last year. Although Russell has played 2 very good teams the last 2 weeks while Raceland has played cupcakes. Russell is coming off a loss where they won every statistical category but loss on the scoreboard where it counts. I still can't believe they passed more in that game, then they had all season. Especially averaging 7 yards a carry. Talent wise, Russell has some very talented players. Miller, Dillon, Bailey and Abrams all stick out to me. However, there is a dropoff after those guys that the recent teams for Russell didn't have. I hear alot of comments about the Ashland-Russell game. Conditioning is a factor for Russell. Proof of that is 6-3 @ halftime with Ashland, with Russell then fumbling the kickoff and the tomcats capitolizing, then you just saw all the energy drain from them. Ashland is the better team and took the game late. If Raceland can come out and suck the enrgy out of Henry R. Evans stadium and the Russell players they should win. Russell and their offense under McGlone is not the type of team that can make comebacks. Actually traditionally they are like UK in that they always allow for great comebacks against them. -

Johnson Central/Ashland predictions
happy ol' dad replied to LRCW's topic in KY Football (High School)
If Ashland played like they did tonight then JC wins by 4 TD's. -
I keep telling myself that this is the week for Russell to break out of it but it continues to happen from week to week.
-
Just got back from the game and it looked like to me and several others that Ashland just didnt come ready to play at all. Probably needed to open up the play book more because our plays were to easy to predict.

Russell/Mason Co. Predictions
happy ol' dad replied to sidelinedoc's topic in KY Football (High School)
I hear Bailey is going to try and play. If he can, I think Mason will have a tough time stopping Russell. I don't think Mason can get in the backfield like Ashland did and disrupt the Devils offense. -
Russell/Mason Co. Predictions
happy ol' dad replied to sidelinedoc's topic in KY Football (High School)
So how much has Mason improved since the Ashland scrimmage? If they haven't improved drastically this should not be a very close game. Both of Russell's losses came to teams with twice the depth of Russell and to two teams who would win the 3A state championship. I didn't see a kid on MC's team who I thought would start anywhere on Russell's team. -
Russell/Mason Co. Predictions
happy ol' dad replied to sidelinedoc's topic in KY Football (High School)
I sure hope Mason has improved by 10 fold since they scrimmaged Ashland with the voting going the way it has. What'd they give up 5 TD's in the first half without Carter in the game? Ashland wasn't even on a roll like they are now, they are playing even better now then they were then. -
