Also, as far as pass coverage goes. That has always been Russell's biggest weak spot on defense. It seems they always stay in the same package no matter what. They run that zone that has quite a few holes in it when going against the spread. Especially to the underneath passes.

I think Russell is not utilizing their players very well. 2 of their best Athletes #21 and #38 rarely get more than a couple touches a game. While Ivan still runs off the right tackle every play. Its not hard to stop that when you put 8,9 or 10 guys in the box. Especially with the oline woes they appear to have.

I think he has warmed up to the players and put them in a position to succeed.

You know alot of comments that BC has the best player on the field but football isnt golf. Its a team sport and Ashland has the best overall team. I am going to give Coach Hart credit again for the district win against MC. Ashland 34 BC 7

Beating Russell always makes me smile but we need to turn the tide against our district teams because beating Russell doesnt get you any closer to the ultimate goal of winning a state championship....

I believe he came up with that because I dont think they have scored under 30 this year yet. It kind of makes since to me even though hes a Russell fan

I dont think it would of been a blow out be Ironton dropped 2 touchdown passes and it didnt have to do with Ashlands D either. Ironton should of won by 21. Well I was at the game and I will give Ashland players and just the players credit because they seemed to do what they were told. Now there is no reason for us to be down 12 points and we are continuing to run the ball off tackle with 4 minutes left in the game. This makes no since. But the players played well for the most part but we have to start clicking on offense.

So who is to blame? Ultimately the head coach is the perosn that you blame. You cant blame the players because the coach has to put them into postitions to win. You cant blame the AD because like you said and the coach took the team to 2 regional championship games in 3 years, inwhich IMO we had the better team. You cant blame the fans because all we do is watch. So I am interested in who takes the blame for a team that doesnt live up to these capability. You and alot of other Ashland fans know we have talent and for some reason the kids arent winning. So you tell me....

So after next week game, if we lose, then your ready to "tar and feather" the coach.. I personally dont think that we will lose but we have to improve on almost every aspect of the game....

We (Ashland) has alot of things to work on over this next week but I have to pick them to win because I am going with my heart not my head....

IMO, not really knocking Raceland but they couldnt beat any of the other teams in Ashland's district....

I dont believe that anyone said Raceland was a bad football team but the facts are they are still a 1A team and Ashland is a 5A. This should hardly ever happen but not 3 years in a row. Hats off to Hart, we got beat by a "GOOD" 1A team yet again!!!!!!!!!!

Its funny how the debates are already starting about Pikeville. But remember this is another 1A school.
