Solid progress! Are they going forward with the hash marks? Also...it appear this is not going to be for soccer use (unless those field markings are coming in later). Is that correct?

 

The field is laid 5 yds at a time with green and the yard line. When all the field surface is done that way they go back and cut in all the specialty items like hash marks, numbers and the center logo. The same would be done for the soccer lines if they go that route. Or I guess it is possible those could be painted on.

 

Didn't highlands originally have some of their lines painted and then went back and had them put into the turf?

It is amazing to me the hatred toward BBHS and it all comes down to a little school down the street that has better test scores, high college placement numbers, winning sports programs and no resource officer (cop) needed in the school to get through the day so someone doesn't get assulted. That is exactly the thinking the reinforces my decision to send my child to private school. Hopefully this new stadium helps them get there sports programs where they should have been for the last 30 years before these parents go crazy or maybe from the comments above its to late.

 

Actually, the truth is it's precisely your kind of attitude and approach that creates any negativity that may exist. It's easy to cast stones when you have the luxury of selectivity and exclusion. Public schools, ALL public schools, are required to educate all comers. even those who don't want to be there, don't see the need to be there and those who rebel against having to be there. And don't get me started on test scores. Call me when Brossart has to provide ALL the special education programs required of Campbell County or any County school for that matter. Easy to cry superiority when you don't carry the burden of providing for all. It's the attitudes like yours that claim superiority but yet cry "you owe us because we're one of you too" that causes divisiveness. And by the way, don't get too caried away with yourself, athletic success is a fleeting thing in a small school. You have been to one of your football games recently right?

I was a jr the first year the new school opened and they just scraped off the hill and threw out grass seed. Before doubles even started the practice field was like concrete from the packed down and dried out clay. Plus we got the bonus of these big rocks working their way up through the field. We should have gotten hazard pay.:lol:

I think that was my sophomore or junior year. I remember scrimmaging you guys up there in August and thinking it was a miserable place to play. Haha...so it's a nice improvement as far as I'm concerned :lol:

Without a doubt! Now I'm thinking the poor practice field conditions were the reason we only won 2 games my junior and senior years. Glad to see CCHS making these improvements.:thumb:
