I have absolutely no desire to leave the country. If I ever do, it will probably be for a mission trip, and the destination would likely be Haiti. I've never flown before, don't ever plan to, & yes, I'm a huge chicken of flying. Plus, I'm a homebody & don't really care to do much traveling at all.

 

 

If it was some kind of leisure trip & I was forced to go somewhere at gunpoint, it would be Australia because my wife has always wanted to go there.

 

Daughter wants to go on to graduate school, but is also considering a mission to Africa after graduation in May.

Italy or Great Britain.

I have no idea what your life situation is, but all I will say is that if you can then do it.

 

I think traveling is seriously one of the best things a person can do. I've learned more experiencing new places around the world than I have in all the school I've been through. I've never heard a person say that they regret traveling. Worst case scenario is coming back to the U.S.I really want to go and probably will. Really only things making me second guess it is flying that far and leaving my two kids for that long.

I have a cousin who with other teachers goes to Haiti multiple times a year for volunteer work. It's a program through her school system in TN I believe. I'm trying to one day tag-a-long for one of the trips.

 

We have financially supported Haiti in various ways over the years. There are a couple of Haitian ministers/missionaries I know. Stories they tell me leave me both brokenhearted & very grateful for how good I (we) have it. If you ever decide to go, I would be willing to help you some with the costs of the trip.

If my daughter told me that, I think I would be equal parts beaming with pride & absolutely terrified.

My final four: Brazil, Argentina, Thailand, or Malaysia.

 

I have a buddy who visited Malaysia while he was in the Marines. He has always said that out of all the places he visited, Malaysia was hands down his favorite.

 

For me, it's Malaysia, Greece or Australia .

Having been to Australia and St. Lucia in the West Indies, I'd go back to St. Lucia first. But Australia was awesome too. If I had to go 1 place, it'd be Italy since I've never been there.

:lol: I doubt I'll ever get there, sadly. I have 2 issues....I hate flying, and I refuse to take a cruise because I can't swim. So unless I can drive there, I won't be getting there. :lol: On the other hand, if I had enough time I might be able to take the long way....I mean, if I went up through Canada, over to Alaska, didn't Sarah Palin say she could see Russia from there? Then I could drive down through Latvia, et al.
