February 9, 201214 yr If you only had one chance in your life to take a trip to another country, which country would it be, and why? Let's assume you're going to be traveling for two weeks.
February 9, 201214 yr This is a tough one.... My first instinct is Austrailia, but I think Greece would be right up there as well.
February 9, 201214 yr On the short list: Australia, New Zealand, Greece, France, Great Britain, and Northern Kentucky.
February 9, 201214 yr No question about it, Austrailia. Wide open spaces, its beaches, deserts, the bush, "the Outback" and the Great Barrier Reef. Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Newcastle.
February 9, 201214 yr Bali is another place I'm intrigued by, and probably more realistic than either Austrailia or Greece.
February 9, 201214 yr Author On the short list: Australia, New Zealand, Greece, France, Great Britain, and Northern Kentucky. It's great up here. You should visit some time.
February 9, 201214 yr Author Only 1 country? Italy. Amen. The Vatican, Rome, Sicily, Genoa, Venice, Florence, Milan, Naples, Verona, Turin.... The origin of Democracy, the home of the Catholic Church, the seat of The Renaissance. I can't see going anywhere else over Italy.
February 9, 201214 yr Jamaica. Beautiful country, beautiful surroundings, beautiful weather and I enjoy the food.
February 9, 201214 yr I'm almost positive my answer will be in Asia or South America, though Australia is intriguing. I have been to Europe a few times and plan to go back so I'd rule out most places there.
February 9, 201214 yr Amen. The Vatican, Rome, Sicily, Genoa, Venice, Florence, Milan, Naples, Verona, Turin.... The origin of Democracy, the home of the Catholic Church, the seat of The Renaissance. I can't see going anywhere else over Italy. Me either, and great weather, with the different regions having so much to offer. Architecture, food, culture.... ^^ Plus I hear there's great lasagna... Lasagna is actually an Americanized Italian dish. I'll get you the name of a book I'm reading that is an absolutely brilliant accounting of Italian cuisine over the centuries.
February 9, 201214 yr I've lived in Australia and you definitely couldn't go wrong going there. I will say that Americans generally overrate Australia though. I'm pretty sure 90% of Americans say that is their dream vacation. I loved it there though so it might be the right choice. I could easily live there. Nicest people in the world. Now if I could only go to one more place out of the U.S. for the rest of my life, I have no idea where I'd pick. I would have to seriously think about it because I have so many places I want to go.
