I am a Madonna fan and thought the show was ok. It wasn't bad. Definitely wasn't terrible. Entertaining but not great. I hadn't heard about her being injured so that would explain her measured movements in some of the dance moves. I too don't like the lip syncing. I understand when you are doing a dance production that sound quality may suffer. I would prefer less dancing by the singer so we could hear live singing.

I for the life of me don't understand what people see in Madonna. Her music sucks and she's just flat-out hideous to look at. :idunno:

She is a worse actress than she is a singer.

I love Madonna, I loved her show! I thought it was fun! Keep in mind, after wardrobe-gate, performers have to be extra-careful. MIA blew it, but overall the show was great. Like a Prayer always give me chills when the "choir sings". Love the LMFAO integration. I'd LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to see them in concert. They are just too much fun. Loved their pre-halftime commercial too.

 

Maybe it's just me, but considering that the show's going to be about 15 minutes, I give the performers some leeway. It's got to be exceedingly hard to be entertaining to all, as inoffensive to as many as possible, and present a solid medley of your work in that short of time.

 

And I'm pretty sure I'm the only one, but I love her new song. Catchy, fun, and one of those songs guaranteed to lift my mood.

No offense, but why would anyone even watch the halftime shows? In my estimation, they uniformly suck.

I guess after the MIA thing this year, we are going to get Simon and Garfunkel next year. I really enjoyed the Star Spangled Banner by Kelly Clarkson this year. I am not a big Clarkson fan, but I thought she sang it perfectly. I hate when performers try to one up each other and turn it into a spectacle.

Hated Madonna's performance.

Didn't care that much for Madonna's show but she looks great for her age!

I liked it. Yes, lip synching is detracting, but I really enjoyed the spectacle and the dancing. I thought Madonna looked really good for 53 yo.

 

It is a good topic though...who would be representative acts for the let's say 30 to 40YO audience?
