I was hoping she'd sing Like A Virgin. That would have been entertaining. Seriously I didn't care much for it. Liked LMFAO but just think music is so bad right now that they have to continue to get older folks. If they want old energy they should have hired AC/DC! I thought it was catchy. In now way would I put LMFAO in a category with a Tom Petty which was mentioned earlier. There's some good music out but there has been a ton of garbage out IMO.

Since "the malfunction" the average age of the halftime act is around 54.

Me and my buddy was talking about how great the Foo Fighters would be. I think that would be a half time show.

That guy bouncing on the string was cool they should have just let him do that for 10 minutes. Madonna doesn't do much for me pretty boring performance.

I loved the HT show, I have watched it many times over since the game. I have also seen her full live concert 4 times and she is one of the best shows I have ever seen (and I've been to lots of concerts).I thought the stage last night was incredible. The HT show has gotten lots of great reviews throughout the day. I would venture to say that the people who hated it weren't fans in the first place. No surprise there.

Same here, I really enjoyed it, as well as all the people I was with last night! I enjoy all types of music, well except for most rap, 2 1/2 years ago I seen her live in Bucharest Romania and loved the show! I can say that seeing her live and Garth Brooks were the best two performers I have seen live! I too think all the stage stuff was great! Have to remember that they are putting on a show, and seeing it in HD was great. Also, she did injure herself a few days before the Super Bowl, I am sure that effected her movements at least a little.

 

Not all, but I would say most of the people who said they did not like it simply don't like her and or her music. You can't please everyone, not matter who they get to perform there will be people complaining about it.

Not a Madonna fan but since she is an entertainment icon, I was willing to watch. Didn't like it, wasn't impressed and thought she wasn't as physical with her dancing around but as SportsGuy pointed out she did have an injury. Also, could have done without the MIA incident. Seems like these acts(MIA) do crap like this on purpose to get the pub.

Bring back the Bud Bowl !

Get Led Zepplin or Lynyrd Skynyrd on stage for a real show. Get the hard rock 80s bands together to make a show. Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Poison, just to name a few.

 

Better than the crap put on. Maddona I can handle but the MIA girl was terrible.

Adele would be a good one to have for the halftime show.

 

Nicki Minaj would be another I would watch.

 

Eminem (that'll never happen), Alabama, or Jay-Z would be some others I'd probably enjoy.

 

Actually thought the LMFAO, MIA aspect was solid. Would've been more entertained by someone gauging out my eyes with toothpicks than listen to the hack that is Madonna. God, that had to be the most pathetic halftime show of all time.

Madonna is ticked at her for it too! Plus, all the performers signed a contract stating that they are responsible for any fines, If the FCC hands down a fine, it could be over 1/2 million for MIA to pay.

Madonna and I are the same age, so I watched her very carefully. She looked great but I definitely think she was lip syncing. Something was missing in her performance. I remember thinking she was having a hard time dancing in those boots (keep in mind, I could probably not even walk in them). There was a lot of flash and glamour, but little excitement in her show. Maybe she was too old for that particular choice of a show. I was overall, disappointed.

Tickets on sale Monday for her 2012 World Tour. I will taking in the Chicago show. Great, great live performer.
