Don't forget that Davis sat out the majority of the first half as well with foul trouble.

This. And UK shoots 28% and is still up 13 with a minute to go. Cats should have won by 20. A win is a win though.

MKG is improving his NBA stock while T. Jones is losing ground/money, I think. I don't know if "soft" is the right word, but TJ sure doesn't want to bang much down low. Neither UK nor UL seems to have a go-to guy (like Knight and Knowles last year) but I do not know whether it is a requirement to have one. UL has very poor outside shooting. Unfortunately for UL, Siva is playing like Sosa. What is ailing him?

Siva is still not 100% from an ankle injury a few weeks ago. And I disagree wholeheartedly that Siva is a disappointment or a "Sosa redux".

I would like to see UK, UL, Duke, and UNC rotate and play 2 games on the same day. Like in the late 80's and early 90's with the big 4 they use to play in IU & ND.

It is hard not to think of Sosa when I see Siva play. Always expecting more but it is not what you get. Whether it be because of injuries or not. Injuries do not excuse some of the boneheaded plays.
MKG is quickly becoming my favorite Cal recruit.

After watching him and following him his senior year of high school, I had very high expectations of him. I'm glad that he is certainly living up to them. And the scary thing is, he's only going to get better in my opinion as he continues to develop his jump shot.

^ I said last week Lamb was the best player on the team, but I've quickly shifted gears. I now think MKG is the best, most consistent player.

I was trying to think about it on Saturday after the game, but I really dont' think that he's had, what I would call, a bad game yet this year.

Sure, he has had some bad games, but he still gives 100% effort that offsets his deficincies in his play. The only thing that has slowed MKG and his motor is foul trouble. Regardless of his shooting percentage or point production, he is an invaluable commodity to UK.

MKG's mentality could allow him to be an absolute star at the NBA level IMO. People seemed to see him as complimentary guy at that level and I don't know that it is true. He knows how to get to the foul line and knows when to take over a game. I think he will be a better pro than Barnes, he has a better feel for the game in pressure situations.

That would be a good idea. Maybe play them each year in the Georgia Dome.

They've just started this with UK, Duke, Kansas, & Michigan St. I think they're in Atlanta next year. Duke vs. UK & Michigan St vs. Kansas.

Inaugural games this year were Duke vs. Michigan St & UK vs. Kansas in The Garden.

Saw a tweet after the game from Mike Decoursey that said something along the lines of: "What sets UK apart from the rest is, they have Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and you don't. What are you going to do about that?"
