UK really did get screwed on the 10 second call. Lamb was trying to call time out multiple times and the refs couldn't see it. If the refs can't see a player with the ball trying to call a timeout how are they supposed to be able to tell if he gets fouled....

MKG is the best player on the floor today. Love the way this kid plays.

Teague - don't think UL missed anything by him going to UK.

Jones - like I said before is a 4 year player.

 

Look forward to watching this UK team come March.

Never allowed either team to play. They killed the game. Made the game boring.

Louisville is coached to be just one big foul-fest. They don't really go after the ball, they go after arms, legs, body, etc. I guess their theory is if you continuly foul that the refs can't call all of them. It certainly takes away from the game and makes it ugly. Hard to watch that type of basketball. Pitino didn't coach defense that way when he was at UK, what I call dirty defense.

I completely disagree.....they play in your face, but it's more style. Don't act like the entire team goes out there, and simply hacks away.

They did today, it kept them from being blown out.

UK shooting 32/43 from the FT line, and being out rebounded (hurt by foul trouble), state otherwise.

I am probably in the minority on this, however at this point this is my least favorite Coach Cal team. I love that their winning, and definitely the most athletic team he had and the most potental. IMO though they don't have that great of team chemistry still, and honestly that is something I enjoy watching with a team. That is why I ended up liking last years team even better than John Wall's team. Which even John Wall's team with all the talent they had, seemed to have good team chemistry too. This team right now keeps winning, but don't play that well together yet IMO and just win because of pure talent. So at the moment they are my least favorite of Coach Cal's team, but if they ever get this chemistry thing down then watch out! They very easily could be my favorite by the time its all said and done.

Most of Coach Cal's post game show with the fans was about things he is doing to try and build chemistry. He didn't say there is a problem. He said he likes the breakfast club and things the players are doing and wants to see more of it. Coach said it is proven that people are 30% more productive when they are friends with the people they work with, are on a team with, etc.

Chemistry just seems to be the only thing missing with this team. John Wall's team seemed to have it pretty quick, last years team had it but they were not as talented as that team or this team so it took awhile for it to really show. Coach Cal has shown he has been able to get the chemistry thing settled though, so I expect it will this year too. I can't imagine how good this team will be once they develop better chemistry. Right now though there just does not seem to be much flow with them, it's just pure talent winning. So that is why they are my least favorite Coach Cal team at the moment.

^ If there is a chemistry issue, if I judge it from play on the court the two players I could see not meshing are T. Jones and Teague. Those are the two players I see making selfish plays on the court. Although I thought T. Jones did a nice job today. His shot is obviously not there with the hand. He still does not know how to play strong in the low post. But he did a very nice job fighting on the boards and there was only one play that I saw him being lazy on defense.

I totally disagree with it being style. The Professor was right on that part, but I also think he's wrong and UK coached by Pitino was almost exactly the same. Got away with a ton of fouls back then and in reality, today too. Pitino coaches it that way. I'll also agree that the refs ruined this game. Sad both ways overall. And as mentioned, Tony Greene is garbage.

Agreed. Miller locked him up and made him virtually invisible.

As I stated in the prediction thread, this was the Tony green show! Every time he puts on the stripes he is an ego out of control! Ugly game but that is how they do it in the Big East!
