I'm not the one comparing. I'm saying don't compare anyone to Hamblen...I have watched almost every Highlands football game home & away since 1981 and I would not even attempt to pick a best HHS team ever b/c it is nearly impossible and not really fair to all of the greats before my time etc. I do know that there is nothing better than walking into DCM on a Friday night in the fall. Sometimes I will even park my car at my parents house (on the south side) and walk to the game like I did when I was a kid. Down the driveway past Death Valley under the banner with all the state titles....unlike most I hope for a blowout so I can relax and enjoy the game instead of biting off all my nails. I see many of the stars from years past and can almost see them in uniform. Can't wait til next season!

Speaking of Highlands football....I got to meet Jared Lorenzen's Dad. He is in Mayfield setting up our new 5-Axis Mazak. Real nice guy and he is a big hunter. He brought his long bow and has been shooting at the local range.

Earlier this week, Towles and Drake Bruns signed their letters of intent, so it's clear that they are playing college ball after graduation. Also, it sounds like Sheehan is pretty close to making a decision about where he will go and play football, as well as Devin Bruns. Are any other Highlands seniors planning to play college football (at any level) next season? If so, please let us know. Thanks!

 

Also, I am pleased to announce that athletic director/head football coach Dale Mueller and HHS have recently named Highlands-Bluebirds.com the official website of the Highlands football program!
