Oookay! So I'm guessing there wasn't 80 football players at the HHS/CCH basketball game last night. I know mine was.

 

I've always said that the student body support isn't what it used to be. First place you have can look is at a Friday night "Football" game. Not even close to what it used to be. Now it has gotten better as of late, but just 3 years ago, kids were not coming out in droves. Mine son told me his classmates said they got tired of seeing blowouts. Weak excuse if you ask me. Now if the kids are not coming to BB, then not sure what it is. Well maybe I do know. Again, back in the day, BB games were packed when I went to school there.

 

I did see a picture after the game of a small student section but I certainly didnt hear any cheers. Glad your boy made it out to support the Birds.

 

The football games were better attended I thought this season as opposed to year's past. I thought they consistently had a nice section of students to be quite honest.

If all stick with it the football roster will be at 101 for the 2012 season. That is 9-12. I believe there are abt 326 boys total in those grades. 1/3of the boys are in the offseason program or are playing basketball & at least 1 bowler.

Man, I wish that Highlands had bowling back when I was in h.s. I can spin em with the best of them.

Any idea on how many kids have signed up to play frosh football this year. There are some in the community that feel this is going to be a down year in numbers as well as talent.

Look for Mitchell Cain to be a impact player next year at the Frosh level. He is carrying on the "Barrett" family bloodlines. He is one kid that just gets it.....
