Last night was far from the Rock's best game. They can - and have - done better. Hopefully they saved it for next week. Hope to have a repeat of last year's final - save for the scary opening running play !!!!!

I think the mods would agree, lets try and keep your attacks and hating on Highlands in the Highlands threads. Your constant threadjacking gets real old and disresprectful to these great programs that also get tired of posters always putting the spotlight on Highlands. I like it though, because the more you talk about Highlands the more people know who they are and how they win the popularity contest even though they dont ask for it. Keep bringing it. What I do want to find out is -- if that "seperation" [between T and all the rest of 6A] is valid - then how wide of a gap is it?

 

SC is undefeated. A few posters have pointed out their apparent "lack of schedule."

Now would be the time to settle it.

As elitist as this sounds, Trinity is not playing this game to win the State Title but playing this game to rout Scott County and preserve credibility on a national level. Coach Beatty will not say this and will say Trinity is only interested in winning the State. But the players and alumni know the score.

Trinity may never have a better chance to win some national polls than this year. This could be Trinity's year to be number one in some polls. How any Kentucky team ever done that? This game may be the most important game that Trinity has ever played.

If you feel certain Trinity would beat Highlands with a running clock, then why on earth would you like to see this game??? Unless you are a big fan of the winning team, who would want to watch a blowout game? How would that be any different from watching Trinity play Scott County this week?

 

Also, what do you mean when you write "that's what they do" when saying that Trinity runs up the score on opponents? I have never heard anyone claim that Trinity intentionally runs up the score against teams...

I am confident that Trinity will be very keyed up and ready to play. Beatty IMO is a very good big game coach.

You are so correct. He has proved that time and again.

The only time I can recall - when the Rocks "came up short" - was the '09 State GAme. That night - X was the better team, played the better game and deserved the win.

Instead of doing that. I would get them angry. I think that would be the best angle to play. Telling them all week, how much they were going to get blown out, that Trinity is in a whole other dimension....etc.

You make a good point... but angry players can easily turn into ugly/dirty players and I hope we don't see any of that.
