November 21, 201114 yr Randy, they won and beat the teams on their schedule, All the other teams have lost this weekend, the SOS for Bama is ok too with Penn State winning. Who else would you put in Bama's place? Again the SEC winner has no automatic bid into the BCSNCG, no conference does. We are #2 and we are in if we beat Auburn like Kirk said, "If Bama beats Auburn 2-0, they are still in, they won the game." I'm just saying if LSU loses, they're more deserving than Alabama to play for the championship, because the Tigers very recently beat the Tide on their own home field. If both LSU & Alabama win out (which I think they will), they play for the title. And I think they are the two best teams. But I don't see the logic in placing one-loss Alabama over one-loss LSU since their matchup was so recent.
November 21, 201114 yr I was just wondering this...is Oklahoma State the only non-SEC team that can play for the National Title? Virginia Tech at number 5 has Virginia left. A win and they are in the ACC title game against Clemson which can improve their rating with a win over South Carolina. If Okla beats OK State, LSU wins out and Auburn upsets Alabama then they would easily be number 2.

I don't understand the logic for Arkansas going ahead of Alabama considering Bama beat the Hogs so badly (24 points). If Bama wins over a ranked Auburn team on the road they are deserving of moving up if #1 loses. The funny thing is that if LSU loses it will be on their home field. A lot of people were saying that was the exact reason Bama shouldn't get a rematch, but people seem to be making a point to keep LSU in the title game even if they lose.

November 21, 201114 yr So? Have they played anyone? They've played 11 teams according to their schedule.
November 21, 201114 yr They've played 11 teams according to their schedule. They've played one BCS-league team ... UCLA, which went 6-5 and lost to the Cougars 38-34. Nice season and all, but they're not in the discussion for a reason.

They're No. 8 in the BCS rankings so they're in the discussion. They'll earn a BCS berth and I guess we'll see what happens. I wouldn't want to play them.
